Dana Loesch (and the rest of the #TCOT Brigade) harping about a "sex scandal" to discredit Bob Menendez

We have yet another right-wing media/#TCOT Brigade non-story to break: GOP cheerleader Dana Loesch reported on this non-scandal on her lie-filled radio show blog in order to help out Bob Menendez (D-NJ)'s challenger Joe Kyrillos (R):

The bigger story is Menendez’s offense. The crime isn’t that he’s a single man who paid for prostitutes, the crime is his hypocrisy. The crime is that Menendez acts like a savior on the front lines of the “war on women.”
Does he limit his “concern” for American women? Dominican women are excluded? This is the hypocrisy of the left. Sex scandals and double standards don’t matter if the antagonist is a Democrat.
So where does Bob Menendez stand on women’s rights, and can we start with the right of the prostitutes to get the money Menendez promised them?

This is bullcrap, Dana, and you fucking know it!

Here's her tweets on the Menendez non-scandal:

When MO-Lt. Gov. and regular guest of The Dana Show's Peter Kinder (R) had a similar scandal (and that one, unlike Menendez, is a REAL scandal), what did Loesch do? She DEFENDED him.

The GOP-biased Daily Caller's Matthew Boyle::

Two women from the Dominican Republic told The Daily Caller that Democratic New Jersey Sen. Bob Menendez paid them for sex earlier this year.
In interviews, the two women said they met Menendez around Easter at Casa de Campo, an expensive 7,000 acre resort in the Dominican Republic. They claimed Menendez agreed to pay them $500 for sex acts, but in the end they each received only $100.
The women spoke through a translator in the company of their attorney, Melanio Figueroa. Both asked that their identities remain obscured for fear of reprisals in the Dominican Republic.
When shown a photograph of Sen. Menendez, the women said they recognized him as the man with whom they’d had sexual relations at Casa de Campo this spring. Both said they were brought to the resort with the understanding they would be paid for sex.
Neither knew the identity of the man at the time. Both claimed to recognize him later as Sen. Menendez.
“He called him[self] ‘Bob,’” said one.
One woman said Menendez wooed her with compliments like “beautiful” before they slept together. The other woman recounted, with apparent bitterness, receiving from an intermediary only $100 of the $500 she had been promised.
“He lies,” she said of Menendez. “He says one thing and does another.”
According to the translator’s summary, Menendez “was nice at first, but then later he did not seem to care about her.”
Menendez, who is 58 and divorced, has represented New Jersey in the U.S. Senate as a Democrat since being appointed to fill a vacancy in 2005. He is up for re-election on Nov. 6
In the latest October surprise, two unidentified women from the Dominican Republic are accusing Democratic New Jersey Sen. Bob Menendez of paying them for sex earlier this year, The Daily Caller reports.
The two women spoke on camera with their faces obscured through a translator, with their attorney present. The prostitutes are alleging that Menendez agreed to pay them $500 for sex, but he only gave them $100.
Even die-hard right-wing loon host of MSNBC's The Cycle S.E. Cupp believes this is a non-scandal:

For now, even Jim Hoft's Gateway Pundit has not touched this "story." And also I don't see Fixed Noise, NewsMax, Fox Nation, or WND on this at this moment. This could change in the morning.

Hoft's website pounced on this non-story::
That’s odd. He’s so generous with spending your money – just not his own.

And until CREDIBLE news sources report on this (such as HuffPo, CNN, MSNBC, TPM, NBC News, Yahoo!), this is just another right-wing bogus story perpetrated by the likes of Dana Loesch, The Daily Caller, The Blaze, FreeRepublic, HotAir, Drudge, NewsMax, and the whole RWNJ/#TCOT Media apparatus. And even if they did, it would be seen as a RWNJ hackjob.

Adam Weinstein at Mother Jones has called out The Daily Caller on their role in the non-scandal on Twitter:

If a GOP candidate was involved in a sex scandal, I bet these same so-called "family values" kooks would try to cover up that crime to protect them, like with what happened to Senator David Vitter (R-LA) and former Congresscritter Mark Foley (R).

Proof from a Washington Monthly article from from Steve Benen on the GOP hypocrisy of sex scandals::

Democrats caught up in sex scandals -- Spitzer, John Edwards, Jim McGreevey, and to a lesser extent, Eric Massa -- tend to quickly resign and avoid politics. Republicans -- Vitter, Ensign, Sanford, Gingrich, Giuliani -- prefer a far different approach, reject the idea of being permanently disgraced, and the GOP doesn't seem to mind.
I can appreciate why IOKIYAR seems like a lazy cliche, but I'm not convinced it's wrong.

#INSen: Anti-choice radical Dana Loesch defends Richard Mourdock's offensive comments

Dana Loesch is pulling a Todd Akin 2.0 by defending the crass and sexist "rape is something intended from God to happen" comment from Indiana Senate Candidate Richard Mourdock (R), who defeated incumbent Richard Lugar in the Republican primary earlier this year. Remember that the IN-Sen race occurs in the state that is home to the other affiliate that broadcasts The Dana Show (WIBC), so this means Loesch will defend him to the hilt.

Her tweets defending Mourdock and slamming the pro-choice community/Liberals/Democrats:

The facts in the articles that Loesch neglected to mention to her twitter followers (and likely to her radio listeners tomorrow on The Dana Show).

Think Progress Justice:

NEW ALBANY, Indiana — At a debate this evening with his Democratic opponent Rep. Joe Donnelly (D-IN), Indiana GOP Senate candidate Richard Mourdock claimed that raped women should be forced to carry their rapist’s baby to term because their forced pregnancy is a “gift from God”:
I believe life begins at conception. The only exception I have for to have an abortion is in the case of the life of the mother. I struggled with myself for a long time but I came to realize life is that gift from God, even when life begins in that horrible situation of rape. It is something that God intended to happen.

TPM:

Indiana Treasurer Richard Mourdock became the latest Republican to wander into eyebrow-raising territory when it came to the discussion of rape and abortion during a Senate debate Tuesday night.
Defending his stance that abortion should be illegal even in the case of rape, Mourdock explained that pregnancy resulting from nonconsensual sex is the will of God.
“I’ve struggled with it myself for a long time, but I came to realize that life is that gift from God,” Mourdock said. “And even when life begins in that horrible situation of rape, that it is something that God intended to happen.”
In the Indiana Senate race, Mourdock’s statement could serve to reinforce the Democratic contention that he’s an extremist. Rep. Joe Donnelly, the Democratic nominee, also opposes abortion rights but makes an exception for rape and incest as well as the mother’s health.
After the debate, Donnelly said Mourdock’s words on stage were disturbing.
“The God I believe in and the God I know most Hoosiers believe in, does not intend for rape to happen—ever,” Donnelly said in a written statement. “What Mr. Mourdock said is shocking, and it is stunning that he would be so disrespectful to survivors of rape.”

To piss off Loesch some more, please donate to Joe Donnelly (D)'s Senate campaign to defeat right-wing kook Richard Mourdock and the GOP War On Women.

#MOSen: Dana Loesch still pushing a non-scandal to baselessly attack McCaskill

Akin/GOP operative Dana Loesch is still whining about "the media's being in the tank for Claire McCaskill" by pushing a non-existent "scandal."

She baselessly accuses the "Missouri Media of being lapdogs for McCaskill and the Democrats":

Today the most SCANDALOSO of stories broke in the Missouri senate race: Once upon a time, Todd Akin was arrested for a peaceful protest outside of an abortion clinic. He was arrested because he blocked the doorsSalon and the Huffington Post, two bastions of objective media, ran with the story; Salon went further and reported another scandal: Todd Akin once sent a letter to a public militia event which complimented the patriotism of the peaceful citizens exercising their Second Amendment
Scandalous, indeed. You see, the Second Amendment is reviled by the left and the simple exercise thereof invokes lefty comparisons to domestic terrorists while their ideology refuses to identify actual terrorism
It’s clear that the Missouri media has no interest in reporting on the developments in the Missouri Senate race if it’s unrelated to re-electing Claire McCaskill. So why don’t you hold them to the standards of the journalism they claim? Here is a handy comprehensive list (still expanding with the addition of individual reporters soon) of MO media on Twitter to start.

I hate to break this to you, Dana: almost all of the left does NOT hate the 2nd Amendment.

Some more of the juvenile and stupid tweets that Loesch put out to intimidate the media into her phony non-story:

She even attacks Sheryl Crow, who also happens to be from Missouri:

Former Post-Dispatch employee Loesch falsely declares that "the media is in bed with McCaskill"

Today, on her twitter account and certainly on her radio show as well, KFTK radio host and Akin operative Dana Loesch was whining about the "Missouri Media, Democrats, and the Post-Dispatch being in the tank for McCaskill." False.

Dana, during your three-hour Right-Wing propaganda fest, Rush is up against you for the first two hours and another righty, Mark Reardon, is up against your final hour. According to Arbitron's September 2012 ratings, the "heritage ayem" station KMOX [#4] FAR outrates her station KFTK [#10], 6.5-4.7.

She covered up Todd Akin's "dog" comments directed at Claire McCaskill:
Todd Akin's "dog" comments directed at Claire McCaskill in order to attack McCaskill:

Democrats are desperate to distract from their scandal-plagued incumbent, and have once again enlisted Missouri media to assist. This week’s Big Bird? Akin supposedly called McCaskill a “dog.”
Last week the news that a whistleblower, a longtime high-ranking employee with the McCaskill family business accused the Senator and her husband of using the senate dining room as the setting for closing business deals. On tape. The Post-Dispatch published not a single headline, despite the fact that the story made national news and continues to grow. Instead, they’re focused on promoting the manufactured narrative that Akin called McCaskill a dog because she’s at the beck and call of the Obama administration.

Oddly enough, there was zero LIBERAL RAGE® when McCaskill referred to herself as a dog:
U.S. Sen. Claire McCaskill sums up her five years as a Democratic senator from Missouri with one word: watchdog. She uses another to describe her 2012 re-election campaign: underdog.
Not once, but TWICE.

This is just typical Dana Loesch fibbing and lying in order to defend Akin and slam McCaskill at all costs.

The REAL facts about Akin's "dog" comment, from Think Progress's Igor Volsky:

Missouri senate candidate Todd Akin, who withstood GOP pressure to drop his bid after suggesting that women don’t become pregnant from “legitimate rape,” recently compared his opponent Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-MO) to a dog. Akin made the remarks at a fundraiser in Springfield featuring supporter Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee (R):
She goes to Washington, D.C., it’s a little bit like one of those dogs, you know ‘fetch,’” Akin said. “She goes to Washington, D.C., and get all of these taxes and red tape and bureaucracy and executive orders and agencies and she brings all of this stuff and dumps it on us in Missouri.”
“It seems to me that she’s got it just backwards,” Akin added. “What we should be doing is taking the common sense that we see in Missouri and taking that to Washington, D.C., blessing them with some solutions instead of more problems.”

Rick Tyler, Akin's campaign spokesperson, doubled down on his anti-McCaskill "fetch" comment and labels her "Bullshitsu":

#MOSen's Claire McCaskill correctly calls out Dana Loesch for being an "Akin Operative"

After tonight's debate, incumbent Missouri Senator Claire McCaskill (D) correctly called the clueless moron KFTK 97.1 FM radio host Dana Loesch an "Akin operative."

Loesch asked McCaskill a "clown question."

Fellow right-wing kook Jim Hoft defended Loesch, via the Gateway Pundit:

Senator Claire McCaskill did not like Dana’s question about her husband Joe Shepard cutting deals in the Senate Dining Room…So she attacked her. This was after the debate in the media room.
Windbag Akin shill Loesch filmed and recorded McCaskill's question:

I’ve been called a Nazi, a bigot, a Klansman, a racist, but never an “operative.”
Quit being a crybaby, Dana!

Dana Loesch falsely accuses IL-12 Democratic Candidate Bill Enyart of "shoving a Plummer supporter on purpose"

Teabagging liar Dana Loesch jumped on the anti-Enyart smear that "Republican judge got [intentionally] shoved by Bill Enyart." The Republican judge in question was Laninya Cason, a former Democrat. Enyart is the Democratic candidate (he replaced the original candidate Brad Harriman) to replace current Congressman Jerry Costello (D). Plummer is the GOP nominee, and Paula Bradshaw is the Green Party candidate.

The facts from BND:

 — Associate Judge Laninya Cason, a Republican candidate for circuit judge, on Saturday gave a videotaped statement to the O'Fallon Police Department alleging that congressional candidate William Enyart, a Democrat, pushed her aside as she tried to hand out one of her campaign flyers at a parade.
Enyart's campaign denied the allegation, saying he accidentally bumped into Cason.
Cason, a former Democrat who was passed over by her former party for its nomination as the circuit judge candidate, said she would sign a statement asking that Enyart, a retired two-star general in the Illinois National Guard, be charged with battery, a misdemeanor. The alleged incident occurred during the O'Fallon High School homecoming parade.
"On a crowded parade route, people bump into each other all the time. It's a low-key, fun event for voters to meet candidates at all levels," said Enyart campaign manager Jason Bresler. "Bill accidentally bumped into a Plummer supporter and immediately apologized, but somehow, between laughing, joking and now, this has become political," Bresler said.
"This is the type of ugly politics that people in southern Illinois are sick of, where something as simple as a parade could become grounds for political gamesmanship."
Annie Dauber, a 16-year-old Belleville West High School junior, who said she was passing out political stickers at the parade, said she saw the incident but thought Enyart and Cason "just bumped into each other." Dauber, whose name and telephone number were supplied to the BND by the Enyart campaign, said she couldn't recall whether both were walking, or whether Enyart came up behind Cason.
Aaron Camp's Blue Downstate Blog::

Enyart’s Republican opponent is Jason Plummer, the son of a multi-millionare lumber magnate who is spending part of his father’s fortune in an attempt to buy himself a seat in Congress, and, in 2010, was narrowly defeated in the Lieutenant Gubernatorial race by Sheila Simon. Cason, who is a Plummer supporter, probably tried to set Enyart up by alleging battery simply for accidentally bumping into her. This kind of dirty politics has become all too commonplace in Downstate Illinois. Annie Dauber, an eyewitness to the incident, thought that Enyart and Cason “just bumped into each other”, and that’s more than likely the most credible eyewitness account of the incident that we’re going to get.

I'm more than likely to be inclined to believe that it was accidental, NOT "deliberate" like what Loesch and Cason want to frame it as such.

If you wanna infuriate Conservatives and Jason Plummer some more, Donate to Enyart.

John Sununu and Newt Gingrich visit The Dana Show

Today on KFTK's The Dana Show, prominent GOP shills John Sununu and Newt Gingrich visited her radio show.

From the 09.21.2012 edition of KFTK's The Dana Show:

Jeremy Stalh at Slate on Loesch's on and off again support of Akin:

With the final deadline for Todd Akin to attempt to have his name removed from the Missouri Senate ballot fast approaching, it will be interesting to see which of the Republicans who disowned him after last month’s disastrous “legitimate rape” comments re-embrace Akin once there is officially no way to get him out of the race.
The calls from the conservative pundit class for Akin to drop out have always been incredibly cynical, with many admitting that they wanted Akin out because of fear he would cost the party a seat that it would otherwise win, and potentially the Senate, and not because of any objection to what he said. None have seemed more calculated—while at the same time pretending to be principled—than Dana Loesch.
The CNN contributor and Breitbart editor was one of Akin’s earliest and fiercest defenders, but ultimately threw him under the bus just like the rest of the right-wing commentariat. I was captivated by Loesch’s response to L’Affaire Akin in the days after the gaffe, because it was fascinating to watch her position on Akin slowly evolve.
Loesch’s Twitter account was like a real-time barometer of Akin’s falling position within the party, but appearing on a weird 24-hour delay. Since she came out so strongly on the side that Akin’s gaffe was being overblown by liberals when the story first broke, Loesch would have looked foolish had she abandoned Akin as quickly as the rest of the right did.
But Loesch, a Missourian herself, ultimately did come around to “withdrawing her support” for Todd Akin. And now, with four days to go until Tuesday’s deadline to ask to be removed from the ballot, it appears as though Loesch is one of the first on the right to welcome him back into the fold.
Finally, with one hour and 15 minutes left in Akin’s deadline to withdraw without difficulty and after Akin rejected Romney’s calls to quit the race, Loesch joined the chorus of right-wing pundits saying it would be better for Republicans for Akin to leave the race and that he should do what was right for the party:
1348243701371
After all that, I’m still not sure whether Dana Loesch has yet fully recommitted her support to Todd Akin, but I do know that I bug her. It’s also clear that she thinks the GOP should back Akin again, and I’m guessing that if she hasn’t made her own support official yet, she will soon. Once we reach Tuesday’s final deadline for Akin to get his name off of the ballot, don’t expect her to be the last one to change her mind on the subject.

Dana Loesch flips from supporting to opposing Akin

According to the conservative American Power blog, We have gotten word that even BIG-TIME Todd Akin endorser Dana Loesch has withdrawn her endorsement of Akin earlier this afternoon.

However, on this afternoon's edition of The Dana Show, she was singing a different tune, as Loesch was encouraging Akin to stay in the race and possibly win it for Team Elephant?

From the 08.21.2012 edition of KFTK's The Dana Show:

This is more proof that Loesch is more concerned about GOP cheerleading than integrity as usual. You made your bed, Dana, and you now have to lay in it!

Today on KFTK's The Dana Show, she attacked the "GOP establishment" for urging Todd Akin to drop out of the Missouri Senate race against Claire McCaskill. Loesch chose to stand by Akin and his dreadfully offensive comments, something that even fellow "Occupy The Truth" Rally participant Michelle MalkinAnn CoulterMark LevinSean Hannity, Senator John CornynSenator Scott Brown, and other prominent Fixed Noise personalities didn't encourage. Surprisingly, there was no reaction (yet) from Rush Limbaugh, as Douglas Urbanksi subbed for The Drugster today. I bet Rush will defend Akin whenever he gets back from Oxycontin smuggling.
