Her BFF Larry Conners has been fired from KMOV, will be a guest on The Dana Show tomorrow

Over the past week plus, KFTK hatemonger radio host Dana Loesch has been on a crusade defending the former longtime KMOV anchor and GOP shill Larry Conners, as he made very controversial comments regarding the IRS and then subsequently lied about it.

Larry Conners, St. Louis' longest-tenured anchorman, has been fired from KMOV (Channel 4).
In a statement posted on the station's website aboput 3:30 p.m., president and general manager Mark Pimentel said: "We regret to announce that Larry Conners is no longer a KMOV news reporter."
The action comes after a series of events that began last week when Conners alleged he was targeted by the Internal Revenue Service after interviewing President Barack Obama in 2012
Pimentel added that Conners' actions also would have caused problems if he had been allowed to "report on the current (Obama) adminstration."

Conners, 66, spent 37 years in St. Louis television — the last 27 as an anchor at KMOV — and won numerous local Emmy Awards.
Professionally, Conners has been taking hits at KMOV, which replaced him in late April with former sportscaster Steve Savard (alongside Sharon Reed) on the marquee 10 p.m. newscast.
The recently fired Conners will join Loesch on her radio show tomorrow to spew out more lies and venom.
Larry Conners will be on my program tomorrow. My staff has also reached out to Pimentel to join as well.
Conners was supposed to have been on The Dana Show last week, but KMOV staff (thankfully) prohibited it.

From my other blog on Blogspot, JGibsonBlog:

As you may have heard in the news recently, veteran KMOV news anchor (and right-wing hero) Larry Conners (@lconnersnews4) is in really hot water because he claimed (falsely) that he was "harassed by the IRS"  after his infamous interview with President Obama last year in which he asked right-wing gotcha questions (most notably the "Obamas take too much vacations" lie promulgated through the wingnut universe).

From the 05.14.2013 edition of KMOV's News 4 at 6:

Transcript:
“First, I need to state those were my personal views, not those of KMOV-TV,” Conners said (video above). “Second, to be fair, I should disclose that my issues with the IRS preceded that interview by several years. As a journalist I understand the importance of keeping personal matters separate from my professional work — sometimes you have to do that retain your independence as a newsman. Those lines might have been unintentionally crossed yesterday by my [Facebook] post.”

It is WELL past time that KMOV (the CBS affiliate in St. Louis) gets rid of GOP shill Larry Conners permanently, especially after his latest incident with the IRS and lying about it. I bet he has a slot on rabid-right hate talker KFTK 97.1 FM lined up for him, along with his fellow former KMOV employees Marc Cox (Sunday Nights and weekday fill-in) and Jamie Allman (weekday morning drive-time).
Turns out, he was fired today, and I'm glad that he is gone from KMOV. Anything that makes Dana Loesch (and her ignorant right-wing nutsack hubby Chris) mad is good for St. Louis.

Loesch whines about the alleged media cover-up of a sexual assault at OccupySTL

Yesterday at Big "Journalism", St. Louis's #1 Smear Merchant Dana Loesch wrote an article falsely accusing the "local mainstream media of failing to report a sexual assault at OccupySTL."

P/oed Patriot first broke the story of a reported sexual assault case which took place at the Occupy St. Louis encampment in downtown Keiner Plaza on November 8th:
According to the St. Louis Police website crime map, at 3:55 PM at the corner of North 7th Street and Market (the exact location of Kiener Plaza where Occupy St. Louis was camped out) a Sexual Offense occurred.

Why did this take ten days to make it to the mainstream media? Media tried to smear the tea party when they couldn’t find controversy, but this goes unreported for ten days?

CBS affiliate KMOV Channel 4 reported on the story this evening:
ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) — A woman participating in the OccupySTL protest reported to police that a man sexually assaulted her while she was in her tent last Tuesday, three days before tents were removed by the city.  A St. Louis City police officer says the mayor could have prevented it.
Brian E. King, 38, was charged with first degree sexual misconduct after police said he crawled into the victim’s tent and touched her breast.  The assault happened on November 8 at the encampment that used to be set up in Kiener Plaza.
[...]
The mayor’s chief of staff says that Wiegert’s accusations are all about politics, and the staff points out that St. Louis did not have problems like other cities.
Occupy member John Mills says that crimes happened before the occupation, and the perpetrator in this case was not a regular participant. He does not think it should reflect on their movement.
The assault occurred at the protest and it would not have occurred had the protest not occurred. Mills can’t say for certain that the perpetrator isn’t a “regular participant.” So he’s kind of a participant? Mills stated that King isn’t a “regular participant” which suggests King had participated before. The words of Occupy St. Louis’s own organizer refutes the defense offered by its group on Twitter that King was “only tied by location.” The group insists that the press, which hadn’t reported on the assault for ten days, is also somehow “smearing” them over the actions of an “unregular” participant.

Since KMOV reported this Occupystl attacked them on Twitter, accusing them of “pandering” to me simply because I’m in the media, discussed it on my radio show (KMOV and my flagship station are two media entities in the same city), and publicly @’ed me on Twitter with a link to their story while I was on air. The Occupy group seems more outraged over this than over the fact that a crime against a woman occurred at their event in the first place. Figure that one out.
*MORE from Adam Sharp replete with Marc Cox’s report on KMOV.

Loesch, right-wing biased KMOV (the CBS affiliate in St. Louis), and KMOX 1120AM (the home of righty talkers Charlie Brennan, Mark Reardon, Rush Limbaugh, and formerly Jay Severin, plus the Cardinals, Blues and Tigers) have a long history of demonizing OccupySTL protestors, and even going as far as to accuse them of being "sexual assaulters."

She loves to lie about anything, including the OWS movement.

From the 11.17.2011 edition of KMOV's News 4 at 6PM:

KSDK, the St. Louis market's NBC affiliate, had reported the real facts-- unlike the Teabagger spin from KMOV.

St. Louis (KSDK) -- A homeless man is accused of sexually assaulting a woman in a tent at the Occupy St. Louis encampment in Kiener Plaza.
Brian Eric King, 38, was charged with first-degree sexual misconduct.
According to the probable cause statement, Krug allegedly went into the tent and touched woman's breast on November 8.
Update: Marc Cox, a KMOV "reporter" and former News 4 Awake anchor, who hosts a radio show on Sunday nights, went on the Friday edition of KFTK's The Dana Show and lie about the OWS Movement.

From the 11.18.2011 edition of KFTK's The Dana Show:

Bonus tidbits: Rabid Nickelback and Lady Gaga hater Loesch is also trashing Third Eye Blind for supporting the OWS movement. She trashed Maroon 5 in October for bashing Fixed Noise, a GOP advocacy outlet disguised as a "news organization."

Loesch cries like a baby about Juan "Fake Democrat" Williams

STL Tea Party hack Dana Loesch wants to defund NPR, saying that it is a "Socialist, conservative-Hating partisan radio station."

Adam Shriver of the St. Louis Activist Hub warned about that behavior from her:

Dana Loesch Wants to Defund NPR

I just thought all the moderates and sane conservatives would want to know that.

Dana Loesch had this tweet calling for NPR's defunding:
Sorry, but when you're a force-funded station and you routinely smear conservatives and fire people for speech ... #DefundNPR
PBS all white ... NPR hates conservatives ... screw government funded radio and television.

Well, Ms.Loesch, the NPR will NOT be defunded unless the Repubs take it back, and that's scary if they do. She had a huge hissyfit over NPR's firing of Juan Williams on yesterday's The Dana Show.

Lines are packed. Inbox is exploding. People are outraged over @npr and Juan Williams, the last of true classical liberals.
She tried to claim that Juan Williams was a "classical Liberal," but that claim was false as he was behaving like a Fixed Noise stooge, even on NPR for several years now, just like Mara Liasson.

BTW, Ben Evans lost the debate.

Dana STILL won't let go of NCAAP/"Union Thugs" beating up Gladney falsehoods, and likely won't.
NAACP kicks cameras from presser, lies abt Gladney presser, and refuses to repudiate documented NAACP racism http://bit.ly/9naMTl

===
Loesch is also misleadingly claiming that the "Democrats are stealing elections as usual."
I think we need as many poll watchers as possible to prevent more DOJ cover-ups.

The ones that steal elections are the Republicans, like what happened with Bush/Gore/Nader in 2000 in Florida and Ohio in 2004, plus countless other elections.

==
For the love of Christ, grow up and quit being a 4th grader, Dana! This woman has called me a "momma's basement troll," when in fact I do not even live with my mother and doesn't even have a basement. This woman has threatened to put a restraining order on me for simply calling her out on her bullshit.

Dana Loesch embarrasses St. Louisans on AC360 and The Early Show

Bad news: Teabagger quack Dana Loesch will be a part of ABC's election night coverage. Go on FNC is where this nutcase belongs!

**Providing analysis and historical context will be ABC News contributors George Will, Cokie Roberts, Donna Brazile and Matthew Dowd. They will be joined by Ron Brownstein, Editorial Director for the National Journal Group and conservative commentator Dana Loesch.

http://blogs.abcnews.com/pressroom/

Dana The Diva, on last night's AC360:

COOPER: There is a really interesting story about leaked e-mails I want to talk about with you.

They involve the Senate candidate from Alaska Joe Miller and Todd Palin. Now, Mr. Palin says there's no story here, there's nothing to see, folks, just kind of move along.

But a leaked e-mail that he sent to Joe Miller and others hints at his sharp political teeth, and perhaps -- perhaps -- Sarah Palin's presidential ambitions.

The e-mail and one from Miller to his campaign associates followed a television appearance on Fox News Sunday where Miller, the Palin-supported nominee, obviously, was asked -- quote -- "Would you support her," meaning Sarah Palin, "for president?"

Take a look at his answer.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

NEIL CAVUTO, HOST, FOX NEWS CHANNEL: Would you support her for president?

JOE MILLER (R), ALASKA SENATORIAL CANDIDATE: You know, we have been asked that question before.

CAVUTO: Really? I'm surprised.

MILLER: There are a number of great candidates out there, including -- I have been, actually -- but -- but we have had, you know, a number of people that have introduced their names as potential candidates in 2012.

Certainly, Palin is on the top of that ticket. You've got a number of folk that any one of which would be better than President Obama.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

COOPER: Now, here's the e-mail that that appearance apparently triggered from Todd Palin to Joe Miller and others.

Quote: "Sarah put her ass on the line for Joe, and yet he can't answer a simple question: is Sarah Palin qualified to be president? I DON'T KNOW IF SHE IS." The caps are his. Now, we should mention that, in the interview, as you saw, Joe Miller did not say those words, "I don't know if she is." Todd Palin later said that he had just been told that is what she said -- he said.

The e-mail goes on: "Joe, please explain how this endorsement stuff works. Is it to be completely one-sided? Sarah spent all morning working on a Facebook post for Joe. She won't use it, not now. Put yourself in her shoes, Joe, for one day."

So, three days later, Miller forwards this to his associates, adding -- quote -- "Just found this in my inbox. This is what we're dealing with." He goes on: "Note the date and the complete misconstruction of what I said. Holy cow."

So two things, it's a pretty rare look inside the Palin political operation, which appears to work and at least in this case, on a bit of a hair trigger at times, and a hint of perhaps Palin's presidential aspirations.

Let's talk about it with Tea Party supporter Dana Loesch, and Marc Lamont Hill, a blogger, contributor to "The Root" online magazine and host of Our World with Black Enterprise on AOL.

Dana, it's interesting. I mean, one of the other interesting things about this is, it really does show Todd Palin's role kind of as enforcer, or close role, at least, with Sarah Palin.

DANA LOESCH, ORGANIZER, ST. LOUIS TEA PARTY COALITION: It does.

It's a really interesting tone that he takes, too, because I thought one of the narratives about the Palins was that they were supposed to have this really frosty marriage, and that they didn't care for each other, and that they weren't close.

And I think Todd Palin coming to his wife's defense kind of blows that out of the water a little bit.

COOPER: Marc, what do you make of this -- of this e-mail?

MARC LAMONT HILL, HOST, OUR WORLD WITH BLACK ENTERPRISE: Well, first, it doesn't necessarily mean that. I mean, we have seen, with the Clintons, who are also reported to have this frosty sort of political relationships, they're also political assassins. And when they see their political dynasty in jeopardy, you know, they -- they -- they act on it.

I think what you see here with the Palins is a very similar kind of thing. I think they have a sense of entitlement. I think Sarah Palin strongly believes that she's the new leader of the Republican Party, and anyone who doesn't fall in line, she's going to check hard. And that's what we just saw here.

(CROSSTALK)

COOPER: But, Marc, isn't it -- isn't it fair if -- if -- for -- the -- the extent to which Sarah Palin, you know, really put Joe Miller on the -- on the map and got the Tea Party Express to -- to put $600,000 behind him, and she appeared in an ad for him. Isn't it fair in the world of kind of, you know, sharp-elbow politics to expect a little love in return?

HILL: Absolutely.

And if -- if Joe had actually said that "I can't say that she's qualified to be president," that would be a very hard blow. But what was actually said is something far more ordinary in politics, which is that, "I'm not going to endorse a Republican nominee right now or a candidate right now, this early in the race, because I have a lot of dogs in the fight." I think that was fairly ordinary. I think it was fine.

COOPER: Dana, what -- what else -- do you think this does indicate that Sarah Palin is, you know, at least seriously considering running for president?

LOESCH: Oh, definitely.

I think she's kind of tossing it around back and forth, deciding if she -- if she wants to run or not. But I also don't think we can pass judgment on what the Palins, what they were or were not thinking, because we don't know into what context these remarks were delivered to Todd Palin.

If he says that he was told that he heard Joe Miller disparaging Sarah Palin, then, of course. I mean, anyone in his right mind is going to come to their defense of their wife. I -- I just think it shows Todd Palin being kind of a stand-up guy.

But I definitely do think that she's --

HILL: Not if you're doing --

LOESCH: -- she's considering something.

HILL: You know, I think, if you're doing big-league politics at this level, I mean, you do -- you don't just send an e-mail like that out. You have a team. You have advisers.

LOESCH: Oh, yes. Everybody does it.

HILL: You actually investigate. You find out if it's true or not.

LOESCH: Oh, no.

(CROSSTALK)

COOPER: But the fact that it leaked out --

LOESCH: Well, no one -- no one -- no one even called Todd -- no one even called Todd Palin to say, hey, Todd, what -- did you -- what did you mean by this? What was behind this e-mail?

Nobody called Todd Palin. Everyone sort of like speculated, until he came out after the fact and said, "Hey, I had heard that there was a really disparaging remark," because if you look at the -- if you look at his remarks, he doesn't even quote Joe Miller accurately.

So, it does lend --

HILL: Exactly.

LOESCH: You have to admit, it does lend a little bit of -- of validity to that. COOPER: Very briefly, I want to ask you about this other story.

Last night, on John King, USA, Bob Woodward hinted that an Obama-Hillary Clinton ticket in 2012 was on the table. The White House batted it down today. So did -- so did sources close to Clinton.

What do you -- what do you think? Do you think it's possible, Marc?

HILL: No. I think it reeks of desperation. Do I think it will be a stronger ticket? Absolutely. But I think that it reeks of desperation. I think what the Democrats need to do instead of trying to replace the vice presidential slot, what they need to do is trumpet their victories. They need to do more on the domestic agenda to push what they've done successfully, which is a lot. Otherwise they won't energize their base.

LOESCH: Yes.

HILL: I think this move doesn't work.

COOPER: Dana, do you think it would energize the base? Do think it will get some of those independents who may be looking at -- you know, the folks you like, the Tea Party?

LOESCH: Hmm, I don't know. I mean the Clintons do have a little bit more of a history of being a little bit more moderate than Obama does, but I totally agree with Marc. I want the Democrats to run on everything that they've passed. I think that does -- I think that would be a wonderful campaign strategy, especially considering how well health care has been polling lately.

COOPER: Mark, are you worried that Dana is agreeing on this?

(CROSSTALK)

HILL: That -- no, because Dana's thinking about the Tea Party spin on what the Democrats have done. I'm talking about a -- I'm talking about progress on jobs.

LOESCH: No, that's just the polls.

HILL: I'm talking about a great HIV/AIDS agenda. I'm talking about education reform. There are a host of Democratic victories that people on the right don't acknowledge.

LOESCH: Oh, yes, I desperately --

HILL: What they do is they spin it, which is politically wise but it's just not accurate.

LOESCH: I desperately want to hear Democrats talk about vouchers.

HILL: You want the Tea Party re-mix to what the Democrats have done.

LOESCH: No, that's mainstream America. You can't just say it's like the Tea Party anymore. This is mainstream America.

HILL: People keep saying --

LOESCH: I desperately want Democrats to explain their stance on the voucher system.

COOPER: All right.

LOESCH: Please, let's run on that. I love it.

COOPER: We've got to go. Marc Lamont Hill, appreciate it. Dana Loesch, always good to have you on, thanks.

LOESCH: Thank you.

COOPER: One other political note, with polling continuing to show the Democrats heading into a buzz saw at the ballot box next month, and critics are putting some of the blame obviously on President Obama -- a lot of the blame -- it was the topic A tonight on Parker Spitzer. Take a look.

News From The Other side has this piece on how much of a jackass Dana is.

Is This The Voice of Anger Politics?

Yes, Dana Loesch is the "literal definition of shrill"! Yes readers, this gal is a "Republican" as well, and as you can see she will place the butcher knife in her own parties back quicker than you can blink. This very anger she emits in this video is the same gal on PJTV, Rupert Murdoch TV (AKA Fox News), and now to be subject matter expert on ABC news with Sawyer and Stephanopoulos.

As we see from the video Dana is speaking too about 5 St. Louis voters going to the court house to pay their parking fine.

We realize here at NFTOS that we give this tool way to much print. But she is the master at irritating, and she certainly grates us here at the horseshoe. We have searched and searched for an honest background check on her, and the only things that come up are self written blurbs by Dana herself.

Dana is often rattling off the predictable drivel of lower taxes, smaller government and the "intent of the founding fathers on mainstream media. We here at NFTOS hope Dana keeps going on cable news shows and continues talking about how she would like to abolish Social Security. It's almost as if she's a double agent working for the Democratic party from inside the tea bagger movement.

The mentality of Loesch is know better than the other hate radio show host like Beck, and Limbaugh etc. Dana is really so far out of her element, it would appear that Dana is a trained circus monkey who parrots what she obviously hears on right-wing shows more popular than her own-she's also a tool who calls callers "pricks" and hangs up them when they corner her with logic.

Dana Loesch complains about the prosecutor let go, Mark Schnyder of KMOV falsely peddles Loesch's talking points

Adam Shriver of STL Activist Hub reports that KMOV's Mark Schnyder was falsely peddling Dana Loesch's talking points about the Carnahan's firebombing.

KMOV Is Confused

Mark Schnyder at KMOV is extremely confused. He can't seem to figure out how Congressman Carnahan feels about having his office firebombed. Schnyder wrote that he shockingly got "weird vibes" from Carnahan's staff the day after someone tried to burn their office down:
When I went by the building this morning I got a weird vibe. I saw a campaign worker coming out of the back of the office with big Bread Company to-go bags. I jokingly said, "Are you with Bread Company or the Carnahan campaign?" He said, "Bread Company," then tossed the bags in the dumpster and went to the front of the building, presumably back in the office. Weird.
(I talked to a reporter at another station who worked on this story who told me when she was there, she met a campaign worker outside the building who also denied being associated with the campaign. When she went inside to talk to a spokesperson, she saw that person who denied being with the campaign IN Carnahan's office.)
OK, so someone acted "weird," the day after arson was attempted. Big deal. And as for his story from "a reporter at another station," I sincerely hope he's not basing his claim that she was speaking to "a campaign worker" only on the fact that they saw the person inside the building later. There are millions of possible explanations for why someone who doesn't work for the campaign could be in the office.

This story is already fueling conspiracies by the usual wingnuts. Jim Durbin wrote that Carnahan's staff, "did take out a bunch of documents hidden in St Louis Bread Company bags to the dumpster. " Durbin also curiously sent someone over to take photos of the office to take photos. Hmmm, wonder if they were planning on doing any dumpster diving while they were there? Keep in mind that Durbin is the conspiracy theorist who claimed that ACORN is housed in Carnahan's office, a theory still believed by the tea party's other "expert" on this case, Jim Hoft. Yesterday, Hoft said that "inside sources" told him that it was a burglary. Later, his "inside sources" completely changed their story to arson, naturally without any explanation or correction from Hoft. Nice that Schynder is so willingly adding fuel to the conspiracy theorists' fire.

But Schnyder's later comments were even more strange:
Meantime, opponent Ed Martin wasted no time condemning the action on his campaign website. He agreed to an interview outside his headquarters, too...He says there are lots of things to disagree on as far as the campaigns are concerned, but he says there's no place for violence.
Weird how the Carnahan campaign couldn't or wouldn't put similar words together.
Huh? As one commenter put it:
What kind of "comment" were you looking for, anyway? "Well, it sucks that someone tried to burn our office down, and violence is wrong"? Duh!
Yup, it's pretty obvious to thinking humans that Carnahan and his staff are not happy about having someone try to burn down their campaign office. They did issue a statement after the event happened, and it's not clear what else Schynder expects from them. Does he want them to rush to judgment, like the tea party no doubt would, and start publicly blaming people even though the police investigation has thus far not been conclusive? Does he want them to cry on camera and say how scared they are for their lives, thus giving the arsonist satisfaction? Their office was firebombed. They feel like crap. Give them a break, dude.

http://stlactivisthub.blogspot.com/2010/08/kmov-is-confused.html

Then there is Dana Loesch making up her phony claims out of thin air about the prosecutor lets the firebombing suspect go.

Prosecutor Lets Carnahan Firebomb Suspect Go?

August 19, 2010
by DanaLoesch

Um, dude?

Police have released a man taken into custody Tuesday in connection with a firebombing at the campaign office of U.S. Rep. Russ Carnahan.

The man, whose name was not made public, was let go after the prosecutor’s office declined to immediately issue charges. The case was “taken under advisement” by the prosecutor, a step that can mean more evidence is needed before a case can be made.

Does reporter Jake Wagman know what a “firebomb” is? From what I’ve seen of the carefully controlled photos in circulation, this looks nothing like the damage caused by such incendiary devices.

Jim Hoft has more.

Then there’s this report from KMOV Channel 4 reporter Mark Schnyder:

Russ Carnahan may be a bad congressman, but he’s our bad congressman and if someone is bombing offices of elected officials in St. Louis then I want to see a federal investigation and that person shipped off to jail. No joke. In fact, I think an investigation is warranted considering it’s a FEDERAL OFFENSE to do such a thing to the office of an elected official.

http://thedanashow.wordpress.com/2010/08/19/prosecutor-lets-carnahan-firebomb-suspect-go/

Then, Daily RFT's Chad Garrison, a truthful man, has this:

Man Arrested for Firebombing Russ Carnahan's Campaign Office

Categories: Crime, Politics
carnahan_office_fire.jpg
Source: Carnahan Campaign
The firebombing left some papers charred but created no major damage.
St. Louis police have arrested a 50-year-old white man in connection to the bizarre firebombing early yesterday of Congressman Russ Carnahan's campaign headquarters.

The incident occurred around 2:20 a.m. Tuesday. St. Louis police received a call moments later from someone who heard glass break and smelled smoke emanating from the building at 7000 S. Chippewa.

Police aren't releasing the man's name until charges are officially filed. No motive was given for the attack, though one could suspect that the perpetrator is not a fan of the congressman. Given what we know of him -- 50, white, angry -- he certainly fits the demographics of a Tea Party member.

Perhaps, he joined his fellow "patriots" earlier this year when they burned Carnahan's photo in effigy or placed a coffin on the sidewalk outside his home. On second thought, maybe he's not a Tea Party member. Firebombing your opponent's office seems a little too, um, sane for that group.

Angela Guyadeen, communications director for Carnahan's re-election campaign, issued a statement confirming yesterday's incident. "There is minor damage to the office and the campaign headquarters
remains open," said Guyadeen. "The St. Louis police and fire departments are
investigating."

Then here is KMOV's Mark Schnyder's take on this:

Campaigns react to Carnahan fire

by Mark Schnyder

KMOV.com

Posted on August 18, 2010 at 12:34 PM

Updated yesterday at 12:34 PM

I went to talk to people from both Congressional campaigns about Tuesday morning's fire in Russ Carnahan's office. Someone broke a window and tossed a burning object inside catching some of the office on fire but doing minimal damage to the building.

Hours later a company installed security cameras in the front and back of that building.

Then when I talked to a campaign spokesperson she refused to comment on anything beyond what police already told us. I tried to ask "What do you make of this?"... "How are workers and volunteers inside dealing with the fact their office was attacked?"... but Angela Guyadeen would have none of it. She wouldn't even tell me why she wouldn't answer these simple questions.

Meantime, opponent Ed Martin wasted no time condemning the action on his campaign website. He agreed to an interview outside his headquarters, too. He told me his campaign workers are careful. They're off busy Hampton Avenue where he says people drive by yelling nice things and not so nice things sometimes. He's had his big sign hit by a Dairy Queen Blizzard, but other than that nothing headline-grabbing like a burning object being tossed inside.

He says there are lots of things to disagree on as far as the campaigns are concerned, but he says there's no place for violence.

Weird how the Carnahan campaign couldn't or wouldn't put similar words together.
