Fake "Christian" Homophobic Extremist Dana Loesch defends odiously anti-LGBTQ Arizona SB1062

Crass homophobic idiot Dana Loesch has defended Arizona's odious SB1062 bill that discriminates against LGBTQ folks, a bill that BOTH of Arizona's GOP Senators (McCain and Flake) and 2012 GOP Presidential nominee Mitt Romney want vetoed, along with many businesses and the Super Bowl Committee.

Arizona's Republican Governor Jan Brewer is almost certainly expected to veto the bill, which should render the bill dead; however, SB1062 still could get potentially passed via a veto override of 2/3rds of both the House and Senate of that state.

Tim Peacock at Peacock Panache:
Should non-religious businesses operating in the private market be forced to serve the public regardless of race, religion, veteran status, disability, etc.? That's the issue conservative radio host Dana Loesch addressed on Twitter last night as she discussed Arizona's controversial SB 1062 - deemed the 'license to discriminate' act. Despite massive conservative resistance to the legislation, the ever-controversial Loesch still seems to believe (and promote) the concept that business owners should be able to refuse service not just to LGBT people, but to anyone they want.

Over the course of several tweets to her official Twitter account last night, she laid out her argument stating at one point that it is "Truly shocking how many people think that the government has the right to force another person to use their talents for state decree." She continued, "I'd support the right of a gay baker to refuse the Westboro cult a cake. Their labor, their choice. This is freedom."

As most people are aware, the latter would be in violation of Title II of the Civil Rights Act's prohibition on religious discrimination in places of public accommodation; but that's the point of her hyperbolic argument though. By taking the idea of being allowed to refuse service to its absolute extreme, Loesch hopes her attempts to attack the civil rights of everyday LGBT citizens in Arizona won't seem crass and overstated. She wants to seem like the hero in defending the very same arguments used by Jim Crow era segregationists.

This is not surprising, given her anti-LGBTQ animus that she has displayed in the past.

Dana Loesch defends Bachmann's Islamophobic witchhunt against Huma Abedin

Notorious Islamophobic far-right radio host Dana Loesch is stepping up to the plate to make Pamela Geller, Brigitte Gabriel, Frank Gaffney, and the Islamophobia Lobby happy by demonizing Huma Abedin, a Deputy Chief of Staff and aide to Secretary of State (and possible 2016 Presidential contender) Hillary Clinton.

At least two prominent CNN personalities (Wolf Blitzer and Anderson Cooper) have grilled Michele Bachmann's baseless conspiracy theory of tying AbedinKeith EllisonGrover Norquist, and other Muslims to the Muslim Brotherhood.

Nevertheless, TeaNN contributor Loesch repeated the false claim by Bachmann without challenge  on her radio show.

Last week, CNN contributor Dana Loesch claimed a State Department official has ties to the Muslim Brotherhood -- even as her CNN co-workers Wolf Blitzer and Anderson Cooper dismissed such charges as "McCarthy-like."

Loesch discussed Bachmann's Brotherhood infiltration theory with anti-Islam activist Brigitte Gabriel. When Gabriel said that it was "about time our government begins an investigation into the infiltration of the Muslim Brotherhood into our government," Loesch agreed, saying, "Absolutely," then added:

LOESCH: Looking especially at how some of our foreign policy has been handled, Hillary Clinton essentially siding with the Muslim Brotherhood candidate in Egypt, and then it was discovered that her top aide -- Huma Abedin -- is essentially a member of the female version of the Muslim Brotherhood, the Muslim Sisterhood. All of this -- it seems enough to me to pose questions as to why our government is becoming so close with a group that has been so hostile to the United States, has fought against the United States, has sided with terrorists, and is a very oppressive regime that believes in Sharia law.

From the 07.19.2012 edition of KFTK's The Dana Show:

Loesch then took her defense of Bachmann to Big Journalism.

The Republican establishment has long kept Michele Bachmann at arm's length and the exploitation of her simple inquiry into foreign policy matters (along with Louie Gohmert, Tom Rooney, Trent Franks, and Lynn Westmorland) is just another example. What's worse: they seem eager to work in tandem with the media to help push along the overdramatic and purposeful mischaracterization of the group's inquiry -- and set their sights specifically on Bachmann.
The best way to assuage the congressional members' questions about Muslim Brotherhood infiltration is, of course, to prove that they are irrevocably without merit, which isn't done by attacking Bachmann ad hominem and challenging her character. Unfortunately, that's not the route the DC establishment chose.

At least a few high-level Republicans have stuck up for Abedin, such as Arizona Senator and 2008 GOP Presidential Candidate John McCain, Speaker John Boehner, and surprisingly, Congresscritter Jim Sensenbrenner.

Loesch supports McCain's irresponsible statement that "Undocumented Immigrants started the wildfires"

The lying liar from St. Louis is back up to her dirty tricks. She supported the senile 2008 Republican Presidential Nominee and Arizona Senator John McCain (R-AZ)'s patently bogus claim that "Undocumented [Latino/a] Immigrants started the wildfires in Arizona."

John McCain, who has few fans in grassroots conservatism and even fewer in the MSM, was excoriated in the media over his recent remarks that the Arizona wildfires were started by illegal immigrants.

And this is coming from the same moron (Dana Loesch) who hates alleged RINOs like Romney, Huntsman, and McCain? Just another insidious attempt at anti-Hispanic/Mexican race-baiting and blatant xenophobia by Loesch.

Here's the real facts (From CNN): Undocumented Immigrants did NOT cause the wildfires in Arizona.

"It's easier to fan the flames of intolerance, especially in Arizona," said Randy Parraz, a civil rights advocate who ran unsuccessfully against McCain as a Democratic candidate in 2010.
Parraz called McCain's remarks "careless and reckless" but not entirely surprising given the political climate in Arizona. The Latino advocate is co-founder of Citizens for a Better Arizona, a group trying the recall the legislator who authored the state's controversial anti-illegal immigration law.
McCain said that illegal immigrants set such fires either to send signals, keep warm or distract law enforcement agents. But he did not specify which fires allegedly had been started by illegal immigrants, nor did he identify his sources or provide details of the "substantial" evidence he cited.
Firefighters are currently battling five wildfires that have burned a combined 732,427 acres in Arizona, according to InciWeb, an online interagency database that tracks fires, floods and other disasters. The fires are under investigation and suspects have not been named. However, local media outlets have reported anecdotal cases of fires breaking out in areas where illegal immigrants have been known to cross the border.
"People are looking for someone to blame," he said, claiming it is too easy and convenient to target what he called one of Arizona's "most vulnerable populations."

Senator McCain ought to know better than to piss off the Latino voters in Arizona, some of whom who happened to vote for Republicans (including him).
