From the 08.19.2012 edition of KTVI's The Jaco Report:
Here are Loesch's classless tweets on this subject:
Seems to me like Akin was trying to fit medical explanation into a soundbite. Not the best statement, but some are stretching it majorly.

Wait -- so the liberals who were silent when Bloomberg talked about women's boobs and Harkin over their menses are mad now? Spare me.
— Dana Loesch (@DLoesch) August 19, 2012
Akin failed a soundbite. Wah. Bloomberg and Harkin talked about controlling women's bodies and you want to act offended?
— Dana Loesch (@DLoesch) August 19, 2012
Hey spineless MO GOP: the primary ended. Please fold harder for leftist spin.
— Dana Loesch (@DLoesch) August 19, 2012
Akin failed a soundbite. McCaskill helped tank the economy. If you think his bad is worse, join the left.
— Dana Loesch (@DLoesch) August 19, 2012
The less intelligent can spin that I'm defending his speech. I'm attacking your hypocritical overreactions. Get it right.
— Dana Loesch (@DLoesch) August 19, 2012
You progressives with your hypocritical outrage only serve to prove my point.
— Dana Loesch (@DLoesch) August 19, 2012
Again, the people who denied documented Occupy rapes are mad over Akin's rape comment.
— Dana Loesch (@DLoesch) August 19, 2012
Where were all these people when so many Dems were ignoring or outright denying documented Occupy rapes?
— Dana Loesch (@DLoesch) August 19, 2012
Akin should clarify whether he meant rapes that occurred or those falsely accused.
— Dana Loesch (@DLoesch) August 19, 2012
Why did the left get so mad when I asked them to condemn OWS rapes (actual rapes, not comments) and said Akin should clarify silly speech?
— Dana Loesch (@DLoesch) August 19, 2012
Wow, I stirred up a hornet's nest asking for the libs outraged over Akin comment to condemn documented real OWS rapes.
— Dana Loesch (@DLoesch) August 19, 2012
These tweets are more proof that Dana Loesch is a clueless asshole.
UPDATED: She defended Akin on Big Government.
Republican Senate candidate Todd Akin appeared on a local St. Louis television show (below) and discussed his thoughts on abortion, even in the instance of rape or incest, which accounts for less than 1% of abortions received.
Progressive backlash from Roman Polanski fans and deniers of Occupy rapes was immediate.
Democrats want to make social issues the focus on the campaign as opposed to the economy, where they're losing, and Akin's interview gave them them the momentary opportunity they needed to shift attention away from the lagging economy.
Was Akin's "misspeech" ridiculous? Of course. Is it worse than the misdeeds of his opponent, Claire McCaskill, who rubber-stamps Obama's war on Missouri coal jobs and tripled our deficit? Not by conservative standards, or any real standard of measurement.
The New Civil Rights Movement:
The Internets are aghast after Republican Congressman Todd Akin told a Fox reporter that women who are victims of “legitimate rape” rarely if ever get pregnant because their bodies automagically just “shut down” those pregnancies — so there’s no point in even discussing abortion in cases of rape.
So, who is this brave American defender of Congressman Akin? None other than Breitbart editor Dana Loesch, who claims she isn’t defending the Congressman, merely upset that “some are stretching it majorly.”
Of course, Loesch is defending Akin the same way she addresses every situation in the world: find a sitution that has the same keywords, or in some alternate universe is somehow tangentially related to the major league Republican screw up, and try to make Democrats and liberals the ones to blame.
Even Twitchy, that journalistic malpractice carbunkle of Michelle Malkin isn’t defending Akin — but they are highlighting Loesch’s tweets.
Todd Akin supposedly "apologized" for his comments on rape, but I'm not buying that.
TPM:
Rep. Todd Akin (R-MO) said late Sunday that he "misspoke" when he claimed that women who are victims of "legitimate rape" have biological defenses that fend off a pregnancy and therefore do not need legal abortion rights.
"In reviewing my off-the-cuff remarks, it's clear that I misspoke in this interview and it does not reflect the deep empathy I hold for the thousands of women who are raped and abused every year," Akin said in a statement. He promised rape victims "will have no stronger advocate in the Senate to help ensure they have the justice they deserve" if he is elected.
If Akin can't make a SINCERE and REAL apology about his degrading comments, then he should be voted down this November.
Even certain conservatives have demanded that he step down, via Think Progress' Zach Beauchamp:
Rep. Todd Akin, the GOP Senate candidate in Missouri, set off a firestorm today afterclaiming that women who are victims of “legitimate rape” don’t usually become pregnant because “the female body has ways to try to shut that whole thing down.” Now, several conservative writers have started calling for Akin to withdraw from his Senate race.
