Dana Loesch lies about DOMA, falsely declares it to be the "Democrats' baby" [UPDATED]

Dana Loesch got caught red-handed lying again, on DOMA. She thinks DOMA was all the "Democrats and Bill Clinton's fault." WRONG!

Her twitter posts on the on the ruling that threw out DOMA and Prop 8:

UPDATE (06.26.2013, 9:30PM CDT):
The STL P-D's Kevin McDermott takes brazen idiot Dana Loesch to task for blatantly lying about DOMA.

Kevin McDermott at the St. Louis Post-Dispatch:
The problem is, she also gets creative in outlining the history of the federal anti-gay-marriage law that was struck down. She strongly implies that law was a Democratic idea that Republicans have always opposed.

As for the rest — Democrats "championing" its passage, Clinton offering “fervent” support, Republicans proudly lining up with their revered Log Cabin leaders in a principled quest to stop it … Well, no.
In the end, the Republican-controlled Congress passed the Republican-sponsored bill through both chambers, with all but one Republican voting “yes.” A majority of congressional Democrats also supported it, though dozens of them voted “no.” Clinton — in an act that, even then, was widely portrayed as classic Clintonian triangulation in an election year — signed the bill with zero fanfare, literally in the middle of the night.

More Dana distortions against her former employer regarding dead Venezuelan Tyrant Hugo Chávez

Stop me if you haven't heard this before: KFTK fringe kook Dana Loesch is baselessly accusing her former employer, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, of being a shill for the deceased Venezuelan strong-armed tyrant Hugo Chávez. The leader in Venezuela in the interim is Vice President Nicolás Maduro until the election to replace him occurs.

She made false accusations against the P-D on her twitter account.

Loesch is lying here: The "left" does NOT lionize "thug rulers" like Chávez, Ahmadinejad, Niyazov, Mugabe, Castro, et al.

Rep. Jose E. Serrano (D-NY) released a statement today praising former Venezuelan President Hugo Chávez  despite the latter’s record of harsh crackdowns on his political opponents and state-sanctioned persecution against Venezuela’s Jewish population. Serrano tweeted a statement praising Chavez as an a champion of the oppressed, writing that “Hugo Chávez was a leader that understood the needs of the poor. He was committed to empowering the powerless. R.I.P. Mr. President.

Moreover, Chávez hurt the vulnerable in Venezuela in other ways. Chávez's state-run media hounded Venezuela’s small, beleaguered Jewish population — he himself once said “Don’t let yourselves be poisoned by those wandering Jews.” A study released by the Kantor Center at Tel Aviv University found that Chávez’s rule “witnessed a rise in antisemitic manifestations, including vandalism, media attacks, caricatures, and physical attacks on Venezuelan Jewish institutions.” Indeed, roughly half of Venezuelan Jews fled the country because of “the social and economic chaos that the president has unleashed and from the uncomfortable feeling that they were being specifically targeted by the regime.”
Chávez also attacked Venezuela’s democratic political system. Human Rights Watch reported in 2012 that “the accumulation of power in the executive and the erosion of human rights protections have allowed the Chávez government to intimidate, censor, and prosecute critics and perceived opponents in a wide range of cases involving the judiciary, the media, and civil society.” Contra Serrano, Venezuela’s elections were not certified as “free and fair” by international monitors of late: Chávez had not allowed international election monitors to observe Venezuelan elections since 2006.

I am a proud liberal/progressive, and am glad that Chávez is rotting in hell and no longer terrorizing Venezuela.

Delusional Dana smears Post-Dispatch's Kevin McDermott as a "DNC/McCaskill Buttkisser" for reporting the truth

More phony nonsense from St. Louis's Most Insulting Media Personality Dana Loesch.

Today, Loesch is still pushing more phony baloney crap to discredit incumbent Senator Claire McCaskill (D). The latest from her propaganda site, which she falsely claims that "the Media ignores sexual harassments from Democrats" and calls P-D's Kevid McDermott as a "DNC Buttkisser":

So I could ask him what the title of DNC Buttkisser pays. McDermott is the resident McCaskill Defender at the St. Louis Post Dispatch and while he’s written what amounts to around a frillion headlines on Todd Akin, he’s not written so much as one column inch on the McCaskill scandals — except to try to spin her out of the sexual harassment suit his publication has worked to hide from voters.

McDermott’s logic as to why the sexual harassment suit against McCaskill’s husband’s business shouldn’t matter? Because.
No, that’s it. Just because.
This from a guy who has spun eleventy headlines out of a six-second remark.
The facts of the story, which first broke here, are that a female employee was subjected to repeated sexual harassment at the hands of her management and she was forced to leave her job as a result. It makes sense that she filed after leaving, considering that the management was party to the harassment.

Dana, McDermott is NOT a "DNC/McCaskill Buttkisser," but you are most certainly a buttkisser for Todd Akin, Richard Mourdock, and the Romney/Ryan ticket.

She then took to twitter to further demonize him as a "DNC/McCaskill Buttkisser":

Now, here's the REAL facts about the Sugar Creek deposition, from St. Louis Post-Dispatch's Kevin McDermott:

The campaign of Senate candidate Todd Akin and his supporters have been strenuously calling attention to a pending sexual harassment suit in Illinois, against a company owed by the husband of Sen. Claire McCaskill, D-Mo., saying it raises question about McCaskill's commitment to protecting women.
Akin adviser Rick Tyler said in an email to the Post-Dispatch that "an active sexual harassment suit seems very relevant” to the campaign.
So how relevant is it? Well, McCaskill is not named in the suit. Neither is her husband, Joe Shepard.

Here are other facts, as found in the court records:
• The lawsuit was brought in Sangamon County Circuit Court in Springfield, Ill., in November 2009 by a female former employee of Pine Woods Apartments in Springfield. Pine Woods is owned by Sugar Creek Realty, a Shepard company. The plaintiff alleges that her immediate supervisor at the apartment complex, a woman, sexually harassed her. The suit names as defendants Sugar Creek, Pine Woods, and the supervisor.
• Records don't indicate any direct role by Shepard in supervising the employees involved, who worked at one of dozens of apartment complexes owned by Shepard's company.
This is all based on the original deposition, which we're posting here.
The suit is scheduled for trial Oct. 30.

Despite what chronic liar Loesch says about McCaskill, neither she, nor her husband Joe Shepard, are named in the suit.

Former Post-Dispatch employee Loesch falsely declares that "the media is in bed with McCaskill"

Today, on her twitter account and certainly on her radio show as well, KFTK radio host and Akin operative Dana Loesch was whining about the "Missouri Media, Democrats, and the Post-Dispatch being in the tank for McCaskill." False.

Dana, during your three-hour Right-Wing propaganda fest, Rush is up against you for the first two hours and another righty, Mark Reardon, is up against your final hour. According to Arbitron's September 2012 ratings, the "heritage ayem" station KMOX [#4] FAR outrates her station KFTK [#10], 6.5-4.7.

She covered up Todd Akin's "dog" comments directed at Claire McCaskill:
Todd Akin's "dog" comments directed at Claire McCaskill in order to attack McCaskill:

Democrats are desperate to distract from their scandal-plagued incumbent, and have once again enlisted Missouri media to assist. This week’s Big Bird? Akin supposedly called McCaskill a “dog.”
Last week the news that a whistleblower, a longtime high-ranking employee with the McCaskill family business accused the Senator and her husband of using the senate dining room as the setting for closing business deals. On tape. The Post-Dispatch published not a single headline, despite the fact that the story made national news and continues to grow. Instead, they’re focused on promoting the manufactured narrative that Akin called McCaskill a dog because she’s at the beck and call of the Obama administration.

Oddly enough, there was zero LIBERAL RAGE® when McCaskill referred to herself as a dog:
U.S. Sen. Claire McCaskill sums up her five years as a Democratic senator from Missouri with one word: watchdog. She uses another to describe her 2012 re-election campaign: underdog.
Not once, but TWICE.

This is just typical Dana Loesch fibbing and lying in order to defend Akin and slam McCaskill at all costs.

The REAL facts about Akin's "dog" comment, from Think Progress's Igor Volsky:

Missouri senate candidate Todd Akin, who withstood GOP pressure to drop his bid after suggesting that women don’t become pregnant from “legitimate rape,” recently compared his opponent Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-MO) to a dog. Akin made the remarks at a fundraiser in Springfield featuring supporter Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee (R):
“She goes to Washington, D.C., it’s a little bit like one of those dogs, you know ‘fetch,’” Akin said. “She goes to Washington, D.C., and get all of these taxes and red tape and bureaucracy and executive orders and agencies and she brings all of this stuff and dumps it on us in Missouri.”
“It seems to me that she’s got it just backwards,” Akin added. “What we should be doing is taking the common sense that we see in Missouri and taking that to Washington, D.C., blessing them with some solutions instead of more problems.”

Rick Tyler, Akin's campaign spokesperson, doubled down on his anti-McCaskill "fetch" comment and labels her "Bullshitsu":

Bill McClellan opposes Dana Loesch, Glenn Beck, and Albert Pujols; Loesch one of the most influential Twitter users of STL

In today's St. Louis Post Dispatch and STLToday.com, Dana Loesch has been mentioned in a Bill McClellan Editorial and in a most influential STL Twitter report.

Politics, religion never mix in this dark comedy

Sometimes I feel we are all characters in a very dark comedy, but I am at a distinct disadvantage because I do not remember the past the way everybody else does.

Glenn Beck's recent Restoring Honor rally is a good example. This is the sort of event to which I would normally pay no attention. If Beck and his followers feel they need to restore their honor, that is their business. My honor is just fine. Or else it is beyond restoring.

The only reason I paid attention to Beck's rally was the participation of Tony La Russa and Albert Pujols.

La Russa is an interesting character in the dark comedy. In recent months, he's spoken in favor of the Arizona law cracking down on illegal immigration, and he's met with Beck and fellow Fox News personality Bill O'Reilly in the clubhouse. There are very few right-wing vegetarians. Throw in the fact that he is an animal rights activist and a resident of the Left Coast and you can see that he belongs to an exclusive club.

Pujols appears to be exactly what he seems: a devout Christian.

He talks about the I Have A Scheme Rally and is no fan of Glenn Beck or Bill O'Reilly, aka Billo The Clown. I am a Cardinals/Pujols fan, but they had NO BUSINESS being at Beck/Palin's Teabaggerpalooza at the Steps of the Lincoln Memorial at all!

On Monday night, I turned on the television to watch the Cardinals. The game was boring. I did something I hardly ever do. I hit the remote control to see what was on the next channel.

It was Larry King. One of his guests was Dana Loesch. She is a conservative radio talk-show host here in St. Louis. What's more, she used to write a column for the online edition of this paper. Her column was called "Mamalogues." It was very clever, and sometimes intensely personal. I remember when she wrote about pretending to be gassy so she would not have to have sex with her husband. But that was written with a light touch, and it was impossible to read her column and not like her. At least for me.

On King's show, Larry King Live, she was kicking a dead horse in the person of the Rev. Jeremiah Wright. Apparently, the day after the rally to restore honor, Beck had said that most Americans would not recognize President Barack Obama's version of Christianity. So Loesch apparently felt compelled to bring up Wright to shore up that point.

So Loesch was using the same old shit about Jeremiah Wright, most likely to fire up her fanbase into a tizzy. She is clearly a nutbag who's skills are berating people who disagree with her.

Next up:

Among the reports highlights:

*The average user in St. Louis has 257 followers and tweets once a day.

*The most influential Tweeter in St. Louis is Chris Reimer, the chief marketing officer at Scorch marketing. Reimer has more than 40,000 followers. Rounding out the top four are conservative alternative radio host Dana Loesch and baseball bloggers Matthew Leach and the Post-Dispatch's own Derrick Goold.

By the way, Justin Bieber is the second most mentioned among St. Louis Twitter users.

Dana Loesch is clearly a liar and an insane nutcase.

Lurker said this, via STLtoday.com:

Loesch is a complete political hack these days. She USED to be kind of entertaining with her stories of her boys, but she hasn't had an original though in years. Now all she knows how to do is regurgitate rightwing chainmails. Sad.

ALERT: Russ Carnahan states that the man involved was ex-campaign worker

Looks like the STL Teabagger Noise Machine's out in full-on distortion mode and cranked up to 19.

Updated from earlier in the day: Russ Carnahan (D) says that the man linked to the firebombing was an ex-campaign worker. Jake Wagman of the Post-Dispatch/STLToday.com has this.

Rep. Carnahan: Man linked to office firebombing was ex-campaign worker

ST. LOUIS -- U.S. Rep. Russ Carnahan has confirmed that the individual linked to a firebombing at his office was a former campaign worker.

The St. Louis Democrat said in a news conference Wednesday outside his campaign headquarters on Chippewa Street -- which, last week, was the target of an arson that caused minor damage -- that the man questioned by police in the incident had worked as a canvasser for his campaign.

The Aug. 17 fire began after an incendiary device was thrown into a room in the campaign office through a back window.

Firefighters were able to contain the fire to the one room -- which the campaign uses for its finance operation -- leaving a charred table and documents.

Russ Carnahan is seeking his fourth term in Congress. He is locked in a tough re-election contest with Republican Ed Martin, who previously condemned the arson attack.

Dana Loesch whining about "the media had better apologize" shit as usual:

Carnahan Confirms Powers Firebomb Story

August 25, 2010
by DanaLoesch

Now that Carnahan has ended speculation, I expect to see a full apology from local “blogger” Chad Garrison apologizing to activists for the disparaging reporting as well as a full retraction for the falsehood that activists left a coffin in Carnahan’s yard during the spring, a story proven false by oh, facts and also Betsey Bruce’s reporting which showed, on camera, the coffin in the garage of one Bill Hennessy. I won’t hold my breath.

If anyone should give out retractions, it's you, Dana! But, sadly, that won't happen as Loesch will believe this lie till kingdom come and doesn't give ONE crap about the truth. I bet you the entire land of Warren County that Dana'll be screaming that "Democrats are violent people" card tomorrow on The Dana Show.

http://thedanashow.wordpress.com/2010/08/25/carnahan-confirms-powers-firebomb-story/

Michelle Malkin (the vile scumbag who writes for the St. Louis Globe Democrat), via her blog, deceptively edited a blogpost to make it that the "Teabaggers are persecuted" meme fits in.

Michelle Malkin picks up on the story from the local tea party irresponsibly accusing someone of vandalism before the facts are out and falsely claiming that the media was "blaming the St. Louis tea party." I've already discussed much of this, so I'll just focus on her misleading edit.

The Daily RFT has this:

Carnahan Addresses Allegations Firebomb Suspect Worked for Re-Election Campaign

russ_carnahan_foto.jpg
Daily RFT
Carnahan: Says No. 1 priority is safety of his staff.

Correction to this story appears below.

Congressman Russ Carnahan held a press conference today to address allegations that the suspect of last week's firebombing of his campaign headquarters worked for his re-election campaign.

"Law authorities have done thorough interviews," said Carnahan, who added that he's been reticent to talk about the issue out of concern of "hindering" the police investigation. "The fact is that no one has yet been charged with a crime."

The blog Gateway Pundit today reported that Powers was upset that he hadn't been paid for his campaign work. Carnahan, however, denied that claim.
Correction: This story originally indicated that Carnahan confirmed the firebombing suspect worked for his campaign. That's not accurate. Carnahan confirmed that Powers once worked for his campaign but did not confirm that he was actually a police subject in the case.

Jimi971, Dana Loesch's BFF, had this crazy tweet:

Hey @chadgarrison @stlactivisthub Sorry, but your Tea Party sucker punch missed by a mile... http://bit.ly/cpV2e8

Well, Jimi971, Chad Garrison and Adam Shriver have been telling the truth throughout this story. Dana and her cronies have been fibbing.

-------------------------

I at first thought it was done by some Teabagger aided by Dana Loesch's rants. But it's not the case here. But since Chris Powers was NOT an actual subject in this, he remains innocent. However, the local Teabagger Noise Cabal, led by Hoft, Hennessy, and Loesch (Ultimate Satan)-- the 3 Devils of St. Louis-- are all out wanting him guilty.
