Dana Loesch baselessly attacks Colorado Rep. Joe Salazar (D)

The evil kook is at it again: Recently writing for fellow former CNN "contributor" Erick Erickson's RedState blog, callous RWNJ asshole Dana Loesch is peddling even more distortions on guns and women. The victim of Loesch's misleading lies: Colorado State Rep. Joe Salazar (D-COLD31) for defending rape whistles and supporting a concealed weapons ban on college campuses.

KDVR, Denver's FOX affiliate:

DENVER — First-year state Rep. Joe Salazar is apologizing for a statement during Friday’s debate over a concealed weapons ban on college campuses that has drawn the ire of conservatives across the blogosphere.
In arguing in favor of the ban, Salazar, D-Thornton, said that women on college campuses don’t need guns to feel that they’re safe. 
“It’s why we have call boxes, it’s why we have safe zones, it’s why we have the whistles,” Salazar said on the House floor. “Because you just don’t know who you’re gonna be shooting at. And you don’t know if you feel like you’re gonna be raped, or if you feel like someone’s been following you around or if you feel like you’re in trouble when you may actually not be, that you pop out that gun and you pop … pop around at somebody.” 
“I’m sorry if I offended anyone. That was absolutely not my intention,” Salazar said. “We were having a public policy debate on whether or not guns makes people safer on campus. I don’t believe they do. That was the point I was trying to make. If anyone thinks I’m not sensitive to the dangers women face, they’re wrong.

But that only served to egg on the right-wing morons, such as Loesch and Malkin.

She wrote in her RedState blog her usual distortionist BS:
Chill, women, says Colorado Democrat Rep. Joe Salazar. While arguing for the disarmament of college students, Salazar says that even if women feel like they’re going to be raped, they may not, so who needs a firearm for protection?  

This is the real “war on women” I’ve talked about: the progressive insistence that women disarm. Women, according to Rep. Salazar, are hysterical things which shoot indiscriminately at any and everything. 

This “feel like you’re going to be raped” nonsense is as poorly-worded as the “shut that whole thing down” drama from last fall. If Democrats don’t swiftly condemn this, I see this used as a tactic to showcase the vast lack of respect Democrats have for a woman’s right to self defense.
While she attacked Salazar, Loesch had the nerve to defend 2012 Senate candidate and former Congressman Todd Akin's "legitimate rape" remarks. BTW, Mrs. Liaresch, Salazar is NOT advocating "disarment" of women. She also falsely accused Democrats having a lack of respect for women.

Salazar claims to have a record of defending women’s rights but his actions to disenfranchise them of their Second Amendment rights are completely contradictory to that claim. One in four collegiate women report rape and one in five are raped. Salazar wants to deprive women of their right to defense with these odds? Just blow your rape whistles and pray that an attacker represents the “safe zone” boundaries? The best apology is a reversal of his war on women.
This claim by her is absolutely pants-on-fire false.

Unrepentant union-hater Loesch baselessly claims "Hoffa's threatening teabagger voters"

Another day, another excuse for the rabidly anti-union shill for Big "Journalism" Editor-In-Chief Dana Loesch to nonsensically blame James Hoffa, Jr. (and by extension, the unions and Barack Obama) for "causing violence against Tea Party voters, which 'union thugs' instigated." Fixed Noise left out the full quote, as did the right-wing noise machine:

Malkin's blogpost contains full of widely debunked smears and falsehoods about unions. And, no, the SEIU is NOT racist, despite what Witchelle Maglagang Malkin thinks. The union protestors are right that the Tea Party Movement is backed by the Koch Brothers, the RNC, and other Right-Wing astroturf, think tanks, and special interest groups (FreedomWorks, Americans For Prosperity, Crossroads GPS, Tea Party Patriots, Tea Party Nation, The Heritage Foundation, etc).

Media Matters had a post that not only Loesch attacked Hoffa, but the right-wing union-haters jumped in as well.

Andrew Breitbart operative and CNN contributor Dana Loesch quickly followed up the attack on Twitter, claiming soon after the Fox segment and Henry tweet that Hoffa "threatens tea party voters" and that if Obama "doesn't condemn then he is sanctioning violence against fellow Americans by silence":

Breitbart's websites also jumped onboard, circulating the cropped Fox News video of the Hoffa speech and describing it as a "threat of violence." Other right-wing media outlets soon followed.

Loesch's comments in particular were already way over the top. But they became truly embarrassing at around 3 p.m., when the whole story collapsed after Fox finally got around to airing what Henry had called the "full quote" of Hoffa's "take these son of a bitches out" comment:

ST. LOUIS -- U.S. Rep. Russ Carnahan has confirmed that the individual linked to a firebombing at his office was a former campaign worker.

The St. Louis Democrat said in a news conference Wednesday outside his campaign headquarters on Chippewa Street -- which, last week, was the target of an arson that caused minor damage -- that the man questioned by police in the incident had worked as a canvasser for his campaign.

The Aug. 17 fire began after an incendiary device was thrown into a room in the campaign office through a back window.

Firefighters were able to contain the fire to the one room -- which the campaign uses for its finance operation -- leaving a charred table and documents.

Russ Carnahan is seeking his fourth term in Congress. He is locked in a tough re-election contest with Republican Ed Martin, who previously condemned the arson attack.

I won’t hold my breath.

If anyone should give out retractions, it's you, Dana! But, sadly, that won't happen as Loesch will believe this lie till kingdom come and doesn't give ONE crap about the truth. The blog Gateway Pundit today reported that Powers was upset that he hadn't been paid for his campaign work. Carnahan, however, denied that claim.
Correction: This story originally indicated that Carnahan confirmed the firebombing suspect worked for his campaign. That's not accurate. Carnahan confirmed that Powers once worked for his campaign but did not confirm that he was actually a police subject in the case.

Facebook yanks Anti-Dana Loesch Fans group, Dana The Coward's at it again

Just yesterday, I got some upsetting news over at facebook, in that they decided to yank one of my groups, the Anti-Dana Loesch Fans group. I bet some Loesch-loving sycophant (Jimi971 being one) and/or Dana herself did this stunt and reported it ON PURPOSE.

We also take down groups that attack an individual or group, or advertise a product or service. Continued misuse of Facebook's features could result in your account being disabled.
They did this to mine, but yet Facebook gets away with people who create groups/pages who threaten Obama and Liberals/Democrats.

Dana Loesch wrote an opinion piece for the Washington Examiner doing her typical logic-inverted gibberish routine about how the people who fight for the rights of oppressed people (i.e. people who inevitably aren't neocons or tea partiers) are actually the ones who are secretly responsible for the oppression. In this case, she was claiming that feminists are actually responsible for "a political ploy to tether women to The Man."

As she always does when discussing feminism, Loesch makes sure to bring in some physical references about how the people she's arguing agaisnst are somehow lacking in some "femininity" or some physical characteristic. For example, when I tuned in to her radio show after the Emily's List mama grizzly video came out, she made sure to repeatedly make claims that the membership of Emily's List has "hair lips." For some reason, Loesch can't seem to talk about women's issues without bringing it back to physical appearance, which some might say is also a way in which women are kept down.
