Dana Loesch v. Ed Schultz battle it out on Obamacare in a contrasting home-and-home match

Recently, on their respective television shows, Dana Loesch and Ed Schultz debate the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) (aka Obamacare).

Round 1 (MSNBC's The Ed Show):
On Thursday, 11.13.2014, Schultz hosted Loesch, Community Health TV CEO Dr. Corey Hebert, and MSNBC's Krystal Ball. Of course, as usual, Loesch was acting like a rude screaming banshee on major-level national television by filibustering the host and the other two guests.

Left of Center at Crooks and Liars on her Ed Show appearance:
Dana Loesch, author of "Hands Off My Gun" begins by trying to discredit Ed by using the phrase, "those are White House Numbers." As if these were different than the CBO numbers he was talking about, then she tries to play the "my friends and family are all losing their healthcare" game and has not one official fact she can cite.

She dodges the question, 'are there fewer insured than there were one year ago before the implementation of Obamacare?' Instead of answering the questions, she brings up the Politifact lie of the year, "If you like your doctor, you can keep him" in a sad attempt to distract Ed from the question, 'do fewer people have insurance now than one year ago.' Still, she fails to answer the simple question, are there fewer uninsured than one year ago?
[...]

I honestly can't get through this awful fiction-festival any more. I'm disgusted these morons get to be in charge of 70% of the state legislatures, a majority in the House AND Senate. Her interview just depicts how intellectually and factually bankrupt this party is. Poor Krystal Ball and Corey Hebert had to combat her fictitious bullshit and refute claims of fantastical origins. The Republicans can't tell us what we're going to keep on Obamacare, just what's going to be cut. There was at least five minutes of her pointless obstruction and it let's us know there is no reasoning with people living in Crazytown, Fantasyland, USA.

From the 11.13.2014 edition of MSNBC's The Ed Show:

PunditFact on Loesch's Obamacare Lies:
Loesch said that 4.7 million people have lost their health insurance due to Obamacare. That number matches one cited by the Associated Press based on preliminary estimates and incomplete data. The best estimate from independent researchers is that perhaps 2.6 million people received notices that their health care insurance policies were being canceled.
However, Loesch spoke as if these people, whatever their number, did not find replacement coverage. In reality, fewer than 1 million people who had been part of the individual insurance market ended up with no coverage at all. Given the constant churn in that market, it is unlikely that the Affordable Care Act caused all of them to be without health insurance.
Loesch’s number is off, both in terms of the cancellations and what people did afterward. Still, the new law did hurt some people.
We rate the claim Mostly False.

Round 2 (TheBlazeTV's Dana):
In contrast to the shoutfest that Loesch filibustered her way into being the dominant voice on The Ed Show segment featuring the two last week, the interview on Dana had a much calmer tone.

Josh Feldman at Mediaite on Schultz v. Loesch Part 2:
Ed Schultz hosted BlazeTV’s Dana Loesch on his MSNBC show last week and things ended up getting pretty damn heated. They fought each other and Schultz said Loesch was being rude and “unworkable.”
So today, they faced off for Round 2 on Loesch’s BlazeTV show, and… it was actually very respectful and no one raised their voices at each other.
[...]
He repeatedly said he’s not completely thrilled with the law, but as first steps go, it’s a good start.

From the 11.17.2014 edition of TheBlazeTV's Dana:

In both rounds, Loesch had the lies and Schultz had the truth on his side.

Ignorant Asswipe Dana Loesch smears Congressman Jan Schakowsky for telling the truth about PPACA

Professional douchebag Dana Loesch is at again. She slams Democratic Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky for telling the truth about the state of women's health issues prior to Obamacare. I also believe that Loesch is basically trying to provide cover for ultra far-right extremist kook Susanne Atanus.

Congresswoman Schakowsky's truth-telling tweet that enraged the right:

Her lies attacking Schakowsky:

It's you, Dana, that's disgracing your gender!

The malicious liar is you, Mrs. Loesch!

Who's exploiting women now? Certainly not Ms. Schakowsky, Sandra Fluke, or other Democrats.

Delusional moron Dana Loesch applauds GOP-caused Government Shutdown

As the nation's talking about the federal government being shut down (which the GOP/Tea Party extremists led by Ted Cruz and John Boehner caused BTW), KFTK radio host and conservative liar Dana Loesch celebrating the disastrous GOP-caused shutdown by falsely blaming the Democratic Party for allowing it to happen and even cheered the EPA being shut down.

As of Tuesday and continuing until further notice, the United States government has been shut down for the first time since 1995-1996.
Guess who's to blame for the shutdown? It's the GOP and the Tea Party 100 percent.
They are absolutely harming America by playing games with our economy and pandering to hard-right Tea Party members rather than find a solution to help the American people out, such as their insistence on defunding the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (aka Obamacare).
This political stunt by House Speaker John Boehner, Sen. Ted Cruz and their right-wing cronies may end up handing the keys to the House of Representatives over to the Democrats in the 2014 elections. This event also serves as a reminder to vote out all Republicans next year.

Read more here: http://www.bnd.com/2013/10/01/2829187/blame-republicans-100-percent.html#storylink=cpy

Her tweets that baselessly attack Democrats on the government shutdown:
Media Matters For America debunked the false right-wing spin that "Harry Reid's ignoring children who have cancer" was originated by the conservative-biased Washington Free Beacon and then spreads to the rest of the RWNJ apparatus.

Conservative media are selectively and deceptively quoting from an exchange between CNN's Dana Bash Senate and Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) to make it appear as if he dismissed the plight of cancer-stricken children being denied access to clinical trials due to the shutdown of the federal government. In fact, Reid said that legislators should fully fund the government, rather than force different groups to fight over funding.
Specifically, conservatives are claiming that Reid replied to a reporter's question, "If you can help one child with cancer, why wouldn't you?"  by saying "why would we want to do that?" In fact, Reid was responding to Sen. Chuck Schumer, who had interjected, saying "why pit one against the other?"
On October 1, the federal government was shut down after conservative Republicans refused to pass legislation funding operations unless that funding was tied to the defunding or delay of Obamacare.

The Democrats DID NOT shut down the government, you low-life fucking liar! The GOP voted for it

Tea Party members/supporters are NOT the majority of the country; however, they are a majority of the GOP's support base. Another lie from you, Mrs. Loesch.

Yes, it's the GOP's fault, you stupid turdbreath!

WRONG. The GOP did.

Obama-hating liar Dana Loesch lies during her "fact-checking" of the President

Disgraceful CNN "Contributor" and habitual anti-Obama liar Dana Loesch wrote in breitbart.com's Big Government to tell falsehoods about President Barack Obama's acceptance speech at the DNC 2012 in Charlotte.

Big Government:

At the heart of Obama's speech was the attempt to reprogram the American dream from one found in the freedom of individual liberty and owning one's own output, to "sharing" -- and by "sharing" he means the government will own your output.
The socialistic phrases were present:
"They knew they were part of something larger ...
... everyone shared in the pride of that success ...
It will require common effort, shared responsibility,
"I cut taxes for those who need it. Middle class families, small businesses."
He did? Let's examine.
The White House report released this week — ahead of the vote in the Senate Wednesday to extend tax cuts for household income below $250,000 — does mention two years of payroll tax cuts that Obama pushed through in 2011 and 2012, but only when talking about how much money the president has saved American families ...
In Obamacare alone there exist 20 new taxes, including taxes on medical device manufacturers and other small businesses.

Obama said of the auto industry:
I've worked with business leaders who are bringing jobs back to America – not because our workers make less pay, but because we make better products. Because we work harder and smarter than anyone else.
Except Obama ran Chrysler plants to Mexico and 61% is now owned by Italian company Fiat. GM is heading towards bankruptcy again and it's widely believe that the auto bailout was an utter failure.

Obama talks as though he's the savior of the middle class when his plans to bankrupt the coal industry would only make plentiful, inexpensive energy more expensive for those who can least afford it.

Obama omitted his failure on free, parental choice in education:
And now you have a choice – we can gut education, or we can decide that in the United States of America, no child should have her dreams deferred because of a crowded classroom or a crumbling school.
And yet it was Barack Obama who as a senator fought against school choice and he continued to do so as President
Obama shifted his message from "the war on terror is over" to "it's blunted" in his speech.
We've blunted the Taliban's momentum in Afghanistan, and in 2014, our longest war will be over. A new tower rises above the New York skyline, al Qaeda is on the path to defeat ...
Just the other day the Taliban claimed two more soldiers in an attack in Afghanistan. Six more just days before thatAugust was the deadliest month of war for our troops in Afghanistan. Conservatives don't itch for war anymore than the next guy, but the current process of going in without clear objectives and playing checkers with our soldiers' resources is the opposite of getting in if you have to and getting the hell out when you need to do so.
Around the world, we've strengthened old alliances ...
You don't accomplish this by approving of language excluding the capital of your ally and then, when the backlash hits, having Democrats on national television loudly booing the addition of it to your party's platform.
You don't accomplish this by promising "flexibility" to Russia, or calling Nazi death camps "Polish death camps." (Other gaffes.)
Obama mentioned Medicare, but just not how he gutted it:
And I will never turn Medicare into a voucher.
Kind of hard to give a voucher for something that, on your watch, won't exist for seniors. His own deputy campaign manager admitted he gutted it.
President Obama did gut Medicare with his health care law. It was part of the fuzzy math employed to make Obamacare look less expensive than the real price tag. Sacrificing seniors for headlines.
Yadda, yadda, yadda. All lies by Loesch, especially the lies that she misleadingly claimed that "Obama's playing checkers with our soldiers' resources" and her attacks on Obamacare. She also distorted Obama's statement on Medicare.

The facts about President Obama that Loesch either neglected to tell to her readers or spin it against him:

OBAMA: "We will reform and strengthen Medicare for the long haul, but we'll do it by reducing the cost of health care, not by asking seniors to pay thousands of dollars more."
THE FACTS: Some of the proposals the Obama administration has floated in budget negotiations with Congress would ask Medicare beneficiaries to pay more. Among them: revamping co-payments and deductibles in ways that could raise costs for retirees and increasing premiums for certain beneficiaries.
Obama even indicated a willingness to consider raising the eligibility age, currently 65, to 67. As word of some of the proposals leaked out, the president faced a backlash from fellow Democrats. He has since said he would not accept Medicare cuts as a part of a deficit reduction deal, unless it also includes higher taxes on the wealthy. Still, some level of increased costs for middle-class and upper-income Medicare recipients is likely to be part of any future deficit reduction deal.
OBAMA: "You can choose a future where we reduce our deficit without wrecking our middle class. Independent analysis shows that my plan would cut our deficits by $4 trillion."
THE FACTS: Three years ago, Obama pledged to cut in half the deficit "we inherited" by the end
of his first term, a mark he's set to miss by a wide margin. The deficit when he took office was $1.2 trillion, and the $800 billion stimulus bill Obama signed soon afterward increased the shortfall to over $1.4 trillion. The White House predicts this year's federal budget deficit will end up at $1.2 trillion, marking the fourth consecutive year of trillion dollar-plus red ink.
Obama's new $4 trillion target over 10 years resets the goalposts with some fancy budget footwork. For one thing, it includes $1 trillion in cuts already signed into law. And it assumes that Congress will pass the administration's plan to raise the capital gains tax, boost taxes on households earning over $250,000 a year and impose a minimum 30 percent tax on incomes above $1 million. It also assumes a reduction in the amount of interest the government must pay on its debt.
OBAMA: "Millions of students are paying less for college today because we finally took on a system that wasted billions of taxpayer dollars on banks and lenders."
THE FACTS: "Technically it is true," said Bryan Cook, director of the Center for Policy Analysis at the American Council on Education. "How much of a savings is not clear."
OBAMA: "In 2014, our longest war will be over."
THE FACTS: Although most U.S. troops will leave Afghanistan by the end of 2014, thousands are likely to stay and continue a U.S. presence for years. There is no telling what fighting they might be drawn into, despite the decision to end the U.S. combat role.
Military leaders and administration officials have not yet said how many will stay, asserting that such decisions are far from being made. But analysts say the U.S. envisions a post-2014 force of as many as 20,000 American troops to continue training the Afghan forces, hunt terrorists and keep watch on Iran and other nations in the region.

Dana Loesch falsely implies that "McCaskill and Democrats want to control women"

Oh, the embarassment! CNN "contribtuor" and Akin apologist Dana Loesch is falsely implying that the "Democrats want to control women." From Big Government:

Democrats are desperate to change the subject from their losing battle on Medicare to government control of health. GOP Senate Candidate Todd Akin made a ridiculous comment regarding his opinion on rape and abortion after which Democrat incumbent Claire McCaskill and the DNC claimed that Akin wants to control women's bodies. This coming from the woman and party who championed Obamacare, a law that will legitimately control all women's bodies, and men's bodies, too.
Under Obamacare women's decisions on their health will be overseen by a litany of bureaucrats.

Claire McCaskill invited Uncle Sam into the doctor examination rooms of millions of American women by championing Obamacare. This isn't her opinion, it's not "misspeech,"she made it law

This, of course, is a big fat 5-star lie by Loesch. In fact, the PPACA benefits women.

Eric Boehlert, Loesch's primary nemesis, takes down both her and fellow contributor Erick Erickson down a few pegs, via MMFA:

Thanks to Erickson and Loesch, CNN today is associated with a radical position on the Akin story that outflanks anything even Fox News commentators are saying about the controversy.
This is the price CNN continues to pay for wanting so badly to be connected with representative of the right-wing press. Perhaps in search of shields to protect itself from the incessant whines about "liberal media bias," CNN's decision to legitimize the strange views of Loesch and Erickson remains a deeply misguided one.
Akin's comments about women not really being in danger of becoming pregnant during a rape because their bodies instinctively "shut that whole thing down" were so outrageous that many conservative commentatorsquickly condemned him, even demanding Akin step down as the Republican candidate challenging Democrat Claire McCaskill.
Some very prominent Republican politicians have also spoken out.
But not Loesch and Erickson. The CNN bloggers defiantly came to Akin's side, with Loesch claiming he had simply "failed a soundbite" trying to express a "medical statement about rape." And besides, Erickson argued Democrats are guilty of far worse crimes, like passing health care reform.
From Erickson last night:

And Loesch:That kind of yeah-but spin is not only juvenile, but it's completely irrelevant and embarrassing to watch. (Erickson even tried reviving an old falsehood about Obama supporting "infanticide" in order to advance his Akin spin.)

BOTH Erickson and Loesch need to be sent packing from CNN!

Outright moron Loesch still lying about Sandra Fluke

Yet another edition of the Queen of Breitfartland badmouthing Georgetown law student Sandra Fluke.  Big "Journalism" editor-in-chief Dana Loesch falsely accusing REPUBLICANS such as Carly Fiorina (who lost the California Governor race to Democrat Jerry Brown and former HP CEO), Speaker of the House John Boehner, and Presidential Candidate and former US Senator from Pennsylvania Rick Santorum of "falling for the 'leftist media' narratives."

The Obama administration withered for several weeks under the intense criticism from Catholic leaders regarding the forced violation of religious liberty within the HHS mandate. In an effort to turn the tables, Democrats suggested that the GOP want to abridge women’s rights because Republicans expect women to obtain and pay for their own birth control. This afternoon John BoehnerCarly Fiorina, and Rick Santorum bravely provided cover for the President and the ridiculous narrative of “the war on women.”
Each of them utterly failed in this response, but unlike Santorum, Boehner and Fiorina aren’t running a presidential campaign with the hopes of becoming the nominee so they can battle the media in the general.
This reason right here is why Republicans defeat themselves: It doesn’t matter what Barack Obama’s record is if Republicans so willingly allow the media to reframe a debate about religious liberty as a fight over women’s rights.
More have admonished Limbaugh’s description of Sandra Fluke than admonished a 30 year-old woman embarrassing herself before congress by testifying that she simply cannot stop getting it on and her inability to control her urges constitutes infringing upon everyone else for a bailout.
I’ve not heard a single Republican politician stand up to the media narrative on this. Instead of projecting surrogate modesty towards Fluke, they project it towards Limbaugh, who is calling the truth for what it is. Fluke, a 30 year-old (presented as a 23 year-old college coed by the media) women’s activist/professional student, is likely not having monogamous sex with the same man approximately 2.74 times a day, every day, for three straight years (in order to satisfy the calculations about which she felt confident enough to present during a congressional testimony).
The real war on women is being perpetuated upon us by our own sex; women who seek to place us under the control of a pimp-daddy government by demanding it cover all our needs, in exchange for control, or force private entities to do  so in its stead.

Ms. Loesch, you are an embarrassment to not only your own gender, but humanity, by defending the Oyxcontin-smuggling sexist Rush Limbaugh. And as for Limbaugh, he rightfully should be condemned for his vile, vicious, pervertedly obscene, and sexist remarks directed at Fluke. Even conservatives, such as Massachusetts Senator Scott Brown and former Bush 43 speechwriter David Frum, have condemned him as well.

On a side note, Loesch's boss and notorious hack Andrew Breitbart died Thursday morning.

RIP Andrew Breitbart (1969-2012).

On her radio show, Loesch ridicules college-aged women for supporting access to contraception

We have the disgraced fringe CNN "Contributor" and self-loathing bomb-throwing loon Dana Loesch mocking women's health care needs again. She decided to make fun of college-aged women for making their own health care choices regarding contraception and birth control.

From the 02.28.2012 edition of KFTK's The Dana Show:

LOESCH: "She's doing it more than she's studying in Law School. Is that why our-- is that why law sucks lately? Is that why we're having such a problem in the courts?"
[...]
"To me, there's nothing empowering about the government financing your choices that you can freely make in your personal life. They act like they're nymphos. That's what they act like."
[...]
"Again, have they never gone to, like, a grocery store, or you can go to the Walgreens y'all to get you some prophylactics, get you a number of other things. Are they like gold embossed?"
[...]
"This is what feminism's like today. Like back in the days of Laura, the pro-life Susan B. Anthony-- who would absolutely be spinning in her grave to see the Feminist Movement now means supporting female genocide. They were trying to get it to where women could get to vote."
[...]
"It's an insult to the original feminist movement."

She is a disgrace to St. Louis and to sanity.
