Anti-choicer Dana Loesch shills for Hobby Lobby's anti-birth control and contraception policies

The rabid anti-choice Dana Loesch attacks contraception and birth control yet again, in order to defend Hobby Lobby in Sebelius v. Hobby Lobby. She also attacked Sandra Fluke for stating the truth about the company's birth control policies and its impact should it go HL's way.

Loesch got in her usual Fluke-bashing cheap shots in.

People For The American Way discusses the ramifications of the case:
If right-wing America had set out to design a Supreme Court case that combined all of its political fetishes, it could not have done better than to come up with Hobby Lobby Stores Inc. v. Sebelius, a devilishly complex assault on Obamacare, women’s health care rights in the workplace, and the embattled idea that the Bill of Rights is for people, not corporations.  The outlandish claims of the company involved would not have a prayer except for Citizens United, the miracle gift of 2010 that just keeps giving. 
Hobby Lobby is a big business that wants to deny thousands of its female employees access to certain contraceptives, like Plan B and certain IUDs, which are supposed to be available to everyone under Obamacare but which the company says it finds theologically objectionable.  Ironically, Hobby Lobby’s private insurance plan fully funded these religiously incorrect forms of birth control for several years before the 2010 passage of the Patient Care and Affordable Care Act and the Department of Health and Human Services’ issuance of its “Preventive Services” Rule, which made coverage for them obligatory.  So it was the workings of Obamacare which apparently gave this business entity its corporate epiphany that these forms of birth control were sinful and the will to fight the contraceptives it had once been perfectly content to subsidize.  Amazingly, this challenge produced an off-the-rails decision by the United States Circuit Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit that the company’s “religious” rights had been violated.

Business Corporations Have Never Had Religious Rights and the Idea Is AbsurdThe astounding nature of the decision becomes clear when we focus on the fact that Hobby Lobby is a regular business corporation, secular in its operations and devoted to profit-making purposes.  It is neither a church nor a religious organization.  It does not hire its workers based on religious preferences or practices.  Under the Affordable Care Act, if Hobby Lobby were a church or a non-profit religious organization that had as its purpose the promotion of religious values, and if it primarily employed and served people along religious lines, it would be considered a “religious employer” and it would be completely exempted from the contraceptive-coverage requirement.  Even if it did not meet those stringent criteria, the company could still be exempt under the law if it were a non-profit institution that objected to contraceptive coverage for religious reasons, as do certain religious institutions of higher education.
But Hobby Lobby is neither a “religious employer” nor a non-profit institution.  It is a standard for-profit business corporation.  That is why the case is of such surpassing importance.  It threatens to carry over Citizens United’s transformation of corporations into “persons” for political spending purposes into the realm of religious worship and free exercise, with dramatic implications.

Dangerous implications
A holding that for-profit corporations have religious beliefs could not only harm employee access to adequate health care, but could also legalize religious-based discrimination while trampling on employees’ religious freedom.

More health care exemptions
More than 50 percent of Americans receive health insurance from their employers, and the employer health insurance rules are a major piece of the Affordable Care Act legislation and key to its success. The Hobby Lobby case and other cases currently in federal court are an attempt by those who were against the Affordable Care Act to slowly chip away at it, and contraception is just the beginning. If for-profit corporations can claim a religious exemption for contraception, they could then refuse to offer other types of health care coverage all because it conflicts with the owners’ “faith.” Consider the following examples:
  • Jehovah’s Witnesses do not believe in blood transfusions. A for-profit corporation owned by a devout Jehovah’s Witness could be able to refuse to cover blood transfusions for its employees.
  • Certain fundamentalist factions of Christianity, Judaism, and Islam are religiously opposed to the use of all vaccinations and could be exempt from covering vaccinations for their employees.
  • Christian Scientists eschew modern medicine entirely, believing instead in the healing power of prayer. A for-profit corporation owned by a Christian Scientist could decline to provide any health insurance based on these religious beliefs.
  • Scientologists are religiously opposed to psychiatry and drugs associated with psychiatry. A Scientologist owner of a for-profit corporation could use the corporation’s so-called “religious beliefs” to refuse coverage for psychiatric services for its employees.
  • Some evangelical Christians are opposed to the human papilloma virus, or HPV, vaccine, which prevents cervical cancer, because they believe the protection of the vaccine will increase promiscuity. A for-profit corporation owned by an evangelical Christian could request an exemption for his or her corporation, thus denying the corporation’s employees and their families’ access to the vaccine.
If the case goes Hobby Lobby's way, it'll be scary indeed. Yet another reason to boycott Hobby Lobby!

EXCLUSIVE: Anti-Women Coward Dana Loesch Falsely Accuses Sandra Fluke Of Chickening Out Of A Debate

There goes anti-women moron Dana Loesch again. And she's baselessly accusing Sandra Fluke of "chickening out" of a debate and using the slur "Democrat Party". If anybody's "chickening out," it's Mrs. Mamalogues, who has a long history of attacking Fluke and other Democratic Party supporters and liberal-leaning women.

TAMPA, Fla. — Liberal contraception activist Sandra Fluke isn’t taking up Breitbart.com editor Dana Loesch’s challenge to a debate on women’s issues. 
The conservative firebrand Loesch has been tweeting at Fluke and publicly challenging the liberal activist Thursday to a debate and discussion on the issues, but Fluke, who strolled through the Republican National Convention Thursday afternoon, has not responded. Loesch has even gone looking for Fluke, who appears to have disappeared after a series of media appearances at the convention center. 
Fluke showed up at the RNC with Florida Democratic Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, the chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee, early Thursday afternoon and the two paraded around media outlets in the convention center pushing their message.
Loesch isn’t surprised that Fluke has not agreed to a debate. 
“If Sandra Fluke is going to come here and talk about women’s issues, then why not talk to actual conservative women about women’s issues?” Loesch told The Daily Caller. “I mean, that’s the whole point. You can’t just come here and hold a press conference and not take any questions. You can’t just go on MSNBC and say whatever you want. Is she an advocate or propagandist? Which one is she? If she’s an advocate, she’s completely willing to have a discussion on the issues. Democrats don’t speak for women. They don’t speak for me. I would like to hear why she thinks she speaks for all women because she obviously does not.” 
“She hasn’t shown any desire to listen to what conservative women have to say and why they’re happy with the Republican Party and why they are voting for Republicans,” Loesch continued. “She thinks that the Democrats have a patent on women’s issues? Here you have the Obama White House which has actual pay inequality and here you have the Obama White House which removed the sovereignty women have over their own body and then there’s this unelected board for Medicare that’s not regulated by HHS? Where is she on those issues if she’s such a women’s advocate.”
Because Fluke is “not willing to engage on the issues,” Loesch said that “signals to me that she’s not an advocate but she’s a propagandist.”
And Loesch herself on Big Government kept on the anti-Fluke/anti-Democratic Party attacks:


Earlier today I challenged free birth control activist Sandra Fluke to a genuine discussion on women's issues via Twitter, seeing that we're both here at the RNC. Unfortunately, it looks like she and her companion, DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz, are only interested in calling conservative women names and dodge honest debate on the issues. The Democrat Party through Schultz today said that female speakers at the RNC are nothing more than "shiny packages."  
This from the party that selected "private citizen" Sandra Fluke to be the face of it's "free birth control" campaign, a citizen who just happened to be represented by the PR firm of Obama's former communications head.  
It's insulting that Democrats are so unsupportive of the female sex that they would refer to them in such a patriarchal manner for not towing their party's line.  
Wasserman Schultz, Fluke, and Schakowsky have a special sort of "women's advocacy": they seek to devalue the accomplishments of women unless those women believe in dependency upon the government. Their message is antithetical to choice: the women's movement was about more choice, not less. The only party I see campaigning against choice is the party who denigrates the women that chose against Democrats' choices. 


The real propagandist in this is Dana, not Sandra Fluke. And if there ever was a debate between the two, Fluke would trounce Loesch easily.

Dana Loesch defends the sexist Oxycontin Smuggling Hypocrite's attacks on Sandra Fluke

In her articles at Big Journalism today, Dana Loesch continues her war on Fluke and made a big stink about "the left silencing Rush Limbaugh for speaking the truth."


Several readers sent along this link to a user-created petition calling on President Obama to kick Rush Limbaugh off the air. Admittedly, at first glance my thought was "whiskey tango foxtrot?" 
I wondered then, if the White House petition site would allow for a petition asking the President to lay off Limbaugh (#LayOffLimbaugh?)  

So I created a petition. Everyone can make one, right? Sign and spread the word. 
In a sane world, it is Sandra Fluke and not The Drugster that's telling the truth. 

The petition that has Limbaugh taken off of Armed Forces Radio currently (as of 8:20PM CST, 03.05.2012) has around 11,400+ signatures.

Contrast that with the one Loesch created, which has currently (as of 8:20PM CST, 03.05.2012) just over 100+ signatures.

She also whined about "not getting her Presidential call."



Ed Schultz called Laura Ingraham a "talk slut" and Laura Ingraham didn't receive a Presidential phone call. Congresswoman Michele Bachmann was called a "bitch" by way of Fishbone's "Lyin' Ass Bitch" intro song on Jimmy Fallon's show and didn't receive a Presidential phone call. Michelle Malkin was called a "mashed-up bag of meat" by Keith Olbermann and she didn't receive a Presidental phone call. Sarah Palin was called a "c*nt" by Bill Maher and she didn't receive a Presidential phone call. 
Countless other conservative women, like myself, have over the past several days been threatened with death and rape on Twitter and in email if we ask why we should pay for another woman's contraception. We didn't get Presidential phone calls. Why? Because Barack Obama can't use us to make an argument for birth control to hide his attack on the First Amendment.  
A show debuted recently called "GCB," changed to such after the outcry over its full title, "Good Christian Bitches." Where's the Presidential phone call to good Christian women?
Where is the Presidential phone call to all of the women who may have been offended by the recent "Slut Walks?"  
It's why this outrage is phony. If progressives were truly consistent and genuine, they would be offended at all variations of the use, and not just when it's used by their side. If the media wasn't to blatant in their efforts to run defense for the Obama administration, they'd note this, as well.
That being said, where's my phone call? 



Grow up, Dana! Progressives and liberals have in fact called Schultz to the carpet for his sexist rhetoric against Laura Ingraham and apologized for it immediately, unlike a certain right-wing radio host who repeatedly savaged Sandra Fluke and "apologized" only when he began losing sponsors. And ABC's GCB gives a proper insight on how certain members of the Christian Right act like hypocrites.

Limbaugh's show has been kicked off of two radio stations so far (KPUA in Hilo, Hawaii was the first one and WBEC in Pittsfield, Massachusetts is the second) and likely more to come. Bain Capital, the company that 2012 Republican Party Presidential candidate Mitt Romney once ran, is the partial owner of Clear Channel (who broadcasts his show along with others on the right such as Sean Hannity, Glenn Beck, and even left-leaning Randi Rhodes, via subsidiary Premiere Radio Networks) and one of two minority share owners of primarily NBC/Comcast-owned The Weather Channel.

Outright moron Loesch still lying about Sandra Fluke

Yet another edition of the Queen of Breitfartland badmouthing Georgetown law student Sandra Fluke.  Big "Journalism" editor-in-chief Dana Loesch falsely accusing REPUBLICANS such as Carly Fiorina (who lost the California Governor race to Democrat Jerry Brown and former HP CEO), Speaker of the House John Boehner, and Presidential Candidate and former US Senator from Pennsylvania Rick Santorum of "falling for the 'leftist media' narratives."

The Obama administration withered for several weeks under the intense criticism from Catholic leaders regarding the forced violation of religious liberty within the HHS mandate. In an effort to turn the tables, Democrats suggested that the GOP want to abridge women’s rights because Republicans expect women to obtain and pay for their own birth control. This afternoon John Boehner, Carly Fiorina, and Rick Santorum bravely provided cover for the President and the ridiculous narrative of “the war on women.” 
Each of them utterly failed in this response, but unlike Santorum, Boehner and Fiorina aren’t running a presidential campaign with the hopes of becoming the nominee so they can battle the media in the general. 
This reason right here is why Republicans defeat themselves: It doesn’t matter what Barack Obama’s record is if Republicans so willingly allow the media to reframe a debate about religious liberty as a fight over women’s rights. 
More have admonished Limbaugh’s description of Sandra Fluke than admonished a 30 year-old woman embarrassing herself before congress by testifying that she simply cannot stop getting it on and her inability to control her urges constitutes infringing upon everyone else for a bailout. 
I’ve not heard a single Republican politician stand up to the media narrative on this. Instead of projecting surrogate modesty towards Fluke, they project it towards Limbaugh, who is calling the truth for what it is. Fluke, a 30 year-old (presented as a 23 year-old college coed by the media) women’s activist/professional student, is likely not having monogamous sex with the same man approximately 2.74 times a day, every day, for three straight years (in order to satisfy the calculations about which she felt confident enough to present during a congressional testimony). 
The real war on women is being perpetuated upon us by our own sex; women who seek to place us under the control of a pimp-daddy government by demanding it cover all our needs, in exchange for control, or force private entities to do  so in its stead.

Ms. Loesch, you are an embarrassment to not only your own gender, but humanity, by defending the Oyxcontin-smuggling sexist Rush Limbaugh. And as for Limbaugh, he rightfully should be condemned for his vile, vicious, pervertedly obscene, and sexist remarks directed at Fluke. Even conservatives, such as Massachusetts Senator Scott Brown and former Bush 43 speechwriter David Frum, have condemned him as well.

On a side note, Loesch's boss and notorious hack Andrew Breitbart died Thursday morning.
