Dana Loesch smears and misgenders Chelsea Manning

Reckless transphobic mouthpiece Dana Loesch-- who hosts a radio show on Radio America (which is now broadcasting on 1260 AM The Answer [WSDZ] in St. Louis) and a TV show on TheBlazeTV-- has once again slandered and misgendered a trans person's name and pronouns. This time, the person targeted by her was Chelsea Manning. Her transphobic smear of Chelsea Manning echos that of Alt-Right hatemongerer Milo Yiannopoulos and other transphobes.

The tweet that BuzzFeed News's SCOTUS/legal news editor Chris Geidner called out Loesch on for misgendering and deadnaming Chelsea Manning:

The original tweet that Loesch posted, which prompted Geidner's response:

First off, Mrs. Loesch, the correct name and set of pronouns is Chelsea Manning and female set of pronouns (she/her/hers).

Loesch's pathetic slams of Geidner and her farcical reasons to defend misgendering Manning:

Another ignorant argument from Dana The Devil.

Sorry, Dana, but Chelsea Manning is a female.

Dr. Paul McHugh is NOT a reputable source for anything LGBTQ-related.

Geidner's smackdown of Loesch continues on (unlike Loesch, he uses the correct name and pronouns for Manning):

Samantha Allen at The Daily Beast on the right-wing outrage on Chelsea Manning's sex reassignment surgery:
If you believe that prisoners should receive treatments deemed medically necessary by the American Medical Association, you should be fine with your tax dollars paying for Chelsea Manning’s sex reassignment surgery.
Just hours after BuzzFeed News reported that the transgender prisoner and former WikiLeaks source ended her hunger strike with assurances that the military would provide surgery, a predictable chorus emerged on the right. Their chief grievance: the allocation of tax dollars for a procedure that has long been recognized by major medical associations as a medical necessity for many transgender individuals.
[...]
According to the medical community, however, there is no question that both hormone therapy and sex reassignment surgery can be medically necessary for individuals suffering from gender dysphoria. In a statement to BuzzFeed News, Manning said her physician had recommended sex reassignment surgery in April 2016.
[...]
So even though transgender rights are certainly controversial in the comments section, multiple major physicians’ associations agree that sex reassignment surgery is a well-established and often medically necessary form of treatment. And there’s no evidence that providing this treatment for all transgender prisoners—let alone a single one—would create a significant burden for the American taxpayer.
If you’re OK with Uncle Sam paying for prisoners to receive antidepressants or knee surgery or a CPAP machine, there’s no reason to get worked up over Chelsea Manning’s medical treatment.

This isn't the first time she's done such a thing, either.

Dana Loesch endorses Missouri's discriminatory ballot measure #SJR39

Yet another anti-LGBTQ religious exemptions bill in the news, and it's Missouri's SJR39, and of course, a certain conservative yakker who hosts a show on TheBlaze on the TV side and on KFTK/Radio America for the radio side is going out of her way to defend this bigoted bill.

Some of Dana Loesch's pro-SJR39 cheerleading:
Dana Show regular and 2016 Missouri Gubernatorial candidate Peter Kinder (R) mentioned that opposition to SJR39 is "political correctness."

This tweet from Allman Report regular and former Speaker Tim Jones, which Loesch retweeted:

Yet another tweet that Loesch retweeted Jones:

On the 03.09.2016 edition of KFTK/Radio America's The Dana Show, Loesch and Kinder defended SJR39 and ridiculed the opponents of the bill:

Kinder making an appearance on the 04.05.2016 edition of TheBlazeTV's Dana defending SJR39:

On the 03.31.2016 edition of KFTK/Radio America's The Dana Show, SJR39 lead sponsor Sen. Bob Onder went on to her show and defend the bill.

The facts about SJR39's harmful effects, which Loesch neglects to tell her fans about, from Boom.LGBT's Colin Murphy at The New Civil Rights Movement:
SJR 39, introduced by State Sen. Bob Onder (R-St. Charles), would ask voters to prohibit the state from imposing a penalty on a religious organization or individual who acts in accordance with a sincere religious belief concerning same-sex marriage, which includes the refusal to perform a same-sex marriage ceremony or allow a same-sex wedding ceremony to be performed on the religious organization's property. The bill further says the state shall not impose a penalty on an individual who declines either to be a participant in a marriage or wedding ceremony or to provide goods or services of expressional or artistic creation for such a marriage or ceremony or an ensuing celebration thereof, because of a sincere religious belief concerning marriage between two persons of the same sex.

Transphobic bigot Dana Loesch again insults the trans community by misgendering Caitlyn Jenner

You may have heard of Caitlyn Jenner (designated male at birth as Bruce Jenner) in the news the past couple of days, as she transitioned into a female, with a new set of pronouns preferred and a new name revealed in the upcoming issue of Vanity Fair.

Dana Loesch, however, used the occasion to make insulting remarks about Jenner and her transition into a woman, complete with misgendering Caitlyn and transphobic bigotry.

Loesch's transphobic rant on Caitlyn Jenner:
I'm not welcoming Bruce Jenner into the sisterhood. We frown upon appropriating culture, so, too, do I frown upon appropriating sexuality (more on this later). It's not that I care what someone does on their own time -- and if that's what this was, people minding their own business and living their lives, it wouldn't be an issue -- but it's no longer on someone's own time. People used to say "what goes on behind closed doors ..." but things are no longer behind closed doors and it's not simply that the doors are open, either; it's that some are forcefully ushering everyone else into the room and told to legitimize with their approval the lifestyle choices of the individual in question. I and other females are told that we are no different from someone who buys a tube of Mac lipstick and the best plastic surgery in town. We are told that our sex, our gender, is a nothing more than a new product at retail. You can identify, but I will not.

I didn't care what Jenner did at first. I didn't care when the cover made headlines, when he invited cameras into his home to show off his personal life. I started to care when, upon casually referencing it on air, I received a few emails chastising me for using the wrong pronoun. I'm expected to refine my speech? A day later I saw a trailer for Bruce Jenner’s new reality show, “I Am Cait,” documenting his transition to identifying as a woman. While applying makeup he says he “never understood until now” the pressure women are under where it concerns our looks. It struck me as a somewhat ironic statement.

 [...]
This isn’t the new normal. It’s a mental illness. I absolutely am not "politically incorrect," or "hateful" because I take exception to society insisting that a man is every bit as much of a woman as I am because he believes himself to be such. Is this the so-called "equality" over which feminists salivated? This numbing homogeny?
[...]

This is no longer a choice that doesn't affect anyone. It's a societal demand that we ignore the born biology of human beings.
Dana, being transgender is NOT a "mental illness."

On her radio show yesterday, she made a very hateful anti-transgender rant regarding Jenner.

From the 06.03.2015 edition of KFTK/Radio America's The Dana Show:

Kira Davis at Every Joe also misgenders Caitlyn:

What I will not do is welcome you into the “sisterhood” as a fellow woman. You simply are not. The way my white friends will never understand what it’s like to be black, the way a mother can never really understand what it’s like to be a father, you will never really be able to understand what it’s like to be a woman.
You are not a woman. You will never be a woman. That title is something that is earned. It is not a persona or a skin you can slip into one day when the moment is right. It is not something you think you are and then later mutilate your body to match. What goes into becoming a woman cannot be surgically inserted (or removed for that matter). It cannot be gained in therapy or a lifetime of feeling different or found in the hem of a particularly stunning dress. I think even the most hardcore of feminists would agree it is far more than biological, certainly much deeper than psychological.

Progressives Today (a sister outfit of Jim Hoft's The Gateway Pundit) on Jenner and Cultural Appropriation:

Cultural appropriation IS a real thing, idiot.

Eliel Cruz at Religion News Service on respecting the trans community by using their proper name and preferred set of pronouns:
Caitlyn Jenner revealed herself yesterday on the cover of Vanity Fair and the Internet was aflutter over the glamorous reveal.
But not everyone was thrilled for the bombshell photos. Christians made their opinions known about the trans community and on Caitlyn — a lot of them misgendering her and using her dead name (a term used by the trans community to refer to their old name).
[...]
Many use dead names to show they don’t agree with someone else’s trans identity.
[...]
But really, the conversations in the church must go beyond the moment when a trans celebrity is on the cover of a magazine. We need to be engaging the trans community in their health, homelessness, and poverty disparities. We need to be engaging the trans Christians in our pews.
We need to be discussing the trans community when we discuss on how to make our church more than just a building in which we worship, but on how to be a sanctuary.
That begins by calling her Caitlyn.
Eliel nails it.

Dana Loesch slams news sources for accurately quoting Scott Walker on ultrasounds

Another day of faux-outrage from Dana Loesch, and it's the Scott Walker quoting "it's a cool thing out there" on ultrasounds on both her radio and TV shows.

Loesch falsely  claims that Walker's quote was "butchered" by TPM, Politico (since changed), and other outlets, which is not a real surprise given her hard-line anti-abortion viewpoints:
Politico deliberately used a quote from Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker on ultrasound images and falsely claimed that Walker was applying it to legislated ultrasounds prior to obtaining an abortion.[...]
Anyone with the reading comprehension of a dolphin knows that Walker was specifically describing ultrasound images, not the legislation itself -- which yes, it is cool that women seeking an abortion as a form of birth control must think and see the life they are ending before ending it.
Her tweets slamming Josh Marshall and other outlets that accurately quoted Walker that she says is "nonexistent":

Politico, caving into raging whiny prick Loesch, changes headline.

Randi Weingarten's right.

"Properly," by Loesch's standards.

He did say the quote, doofus.

There's a war on women being waged, and it's people like you and your ilk that are waging it, NOT Planned Parenthood or any other pro-choice entity.

t async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8">

Loesch toady Ben Howe on the Walker comments:

Josh Marshall at TPM has done more truthful journalism that you've ever done in your lifetime, Dana.

Charles Johnson of Little Green Footballs nails it:

This is typical stuff from Mrs. Loesch.

Miranda Blue at Right Wing Watch:

In an interview with conservative talk radio host Dana Loesch on Friday, Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker defended his anti-choice record, saying that a bill he signed requiring that women seeking an abortion first obtain a medically unnecessary ultrasound merely provided them with access to “a lovely thing” and a “cool thing out there.”
[...]
Walker told Loesch that criticism he received about the ultrasound bill was merely an attack from the “gotcha” media, and that he was in fact just trying to provide women with “a cool thing.”
“The thing about that, the media tried to make that sound like that was a crazy idea,” he said. “Most people I talked to, whether they’re pro-life or not, I find people all the time that pull out their iPhone and show me a picture of their grandkids’ ultrasound and how excited they are, so that’s a lovely thing. I think about my sons are 19 and 20, we still have their first ultrasounds. It’s just a cool thing out there.”

From the 05.22.2015 edition of KFTK/Radio America's The Dana Show:

From the 05.26.2015 edition of TheBlazeTV's Dana:

Tommy Christopher at The Daily Banter:
Wisconsin Governor and Republican presidential co-frontrunner Scott Walker caused a viral stir this week when comments he made to conservative media star Dana Loesch went viral. Walker was defending the mandatory ultrasound law he signed in 2013 on the basis that ultrasounds are “lovely” and “a cool thing.”

“I’ve passed prolife legislation, we defunded Planned Parentiood signed a law that requires an ultrasound, um, which, think about that, the media tried to make that sound like it’s a crazy idea. Most people I talk to, whether they’re prolife or not, I find people all the time will get out their iPhone and show me a picture of their grandkids’s ultrasound and how excited they are. That’s a lovely thing. My sons are 19 and 20, we still have the ultrasound picture, it’s a cool thing out there.”
Now, Loesch is leading a conservative media campaign against Politico, and other outlets, over their coverage of Walker’s remarks. At issue are headlines like Politico‘s “Scott Walker on Mandatory Ultrasounds: ‘It’s just a cool thing out there,” or TPM’s “Scott Walker: Mandatory Ultrasounds Are ‘Just A Cool Thing’ For Women.”
