Dana Loesch provides cover for supporting deranged bigots Ted Nugent and James O'Keefe

Today, Tea Party hack Dana Loesch is attacking Wendy Davis and Battleground Texas for helping out registered voters via BGTX. Regular Dana Show guest and video manipulator James O'Keefe baselessly accused BGTX of breaking voter registration laws, and Loesch defending his viewpoint.

Battleground Texas strongly disputes breaking any laws and said a flap over its registration efforts has Republicans running scared. At issue is a videotaped conversation with Battleground Texas volunteers in Bexar County. It was gathered surreptitiously by controversial conservative activist James O’Keefe, who has sent people posing as interested volunteers to infiltrate Democratic or liberal activist groups, after which he disseminates video that was secretly gathered. 
In the video, an unedited version of which The Texas Tribune reviewed, a Battleground voter registration coordinator is quoted as saying the group takes phone numbers gathered as part of the registration process. She said the phone numbers would be used to call the voters close to election time to urge them to vote. 
“Once we register people to vote tonight, we will all turn in our cards and our data person will enter, not all the information, but name, address and phone number,” the Battleground representative says. “We can then call everyone here and say, 'Hi, I registered you to vote.'” 
O’Keefe’s group, Project Veritas, which has been known to manipulate videos to make them seem more damaging to the people in them, claims Battleground broke state election law by collecting the phone numbers.

Battleground Texas spokesman Ellis Brachman said the group "fully complies with the law." He also took note of O'Keefe's controversial past, which includes a guilty plea to entering a federal building under false pretenses.  
“Let’s be clear: James O’Keefe is an admitted criminal with a long and well-documented record of misleading attacks who is trying to make sure that fewer Texans are able to vote. The real story here is that Battleground Texas volunteers are patriotically working to get more Texans involved in our democracy," Brachman said.  "O’Keefe and his Republican allies in Texas are scared of our success and are doing everything they can to interfere.” 
A Democratic election law expert, Buck Wood of Austin, expressed doubt that any crime occurred. He said the plain language of the statute makes it clear that the volunteer registrars are not considered to be county officials. He said the law was intended to ensure the government isn’t disseminating private information and doesn’t address what volunteers who get a phone number from a would-be voter at a county fair booth, for example, can do with the information.
The facts are this: BGTX did NOT break laws or commit crimes whatsoever, in contrast to what video manipulating huckster O'Keefe falsely said otherwise.

James O'Keefe on The Dana Show: "Voter Fraud is rampant and ignored by the Democrats, Media"

Notorious discredited hack James O'Keefe visited KFTK's The Dana Show with O'Keefe apologist Dana Loesch to talk about his latest dud of a video.  Of course Loesch will praise any and all efforts from him.


Key Points: 

  • Loesch falsely claimed that "he denies the existence of widespread 'voter fraud.'" (approx 1:20)
  • O'Keefe says that the "'mainstream media' will never love us." (approx. 2:20)
  • Loesch falsely states that "the 'mainstream media' and the Democrats' narratives claim that no voter fraud exists, but it's been proven wrong by you, O'Keefe." (approx. 3:10)
  • O'Keefe: "my exposés have been effective to the point that state legislatures are passing voter ID laws." (approx. 4:00)
  • O'Keefe blames the "establishment for covering up the problems." (approx. 4:40)
  • Loesch and O'Keefe bash Sharpton and the Dems for telling the truth about "voter ID" laws. (approx. 5:50)
  • Loesch baselessly accuses "Eric Holder and the DOJ of refusing to uphold voter integrity." (approx. 7:00)
  • Loesch falsely peddles the non-truth that "Voter IDs help voters, not suppress the voters." (approx. 7:30)
  • O'Keefe: "I think the people will stand behind us on this one." (approx. 8:28)
  • Loesch: "If the DOJ, Eric Holder, and the Democrats will go after O'Keefe, then wouldn't it compromise their inability to do their jobs." (approx. 9:10)

The real Eric Holder is right, and people like O'Keefe and Loesch are lying liars.

See, not long ago, Attorney General Eric Holder criticized laws that require people wishing to vote to bring photo I.D. with them; he called those laws “a solution in search of a problem,” and said “there is no statistical proof that vote fraud is a big concern in this country.” So one of O’Keefe’s colleagues—a white man who looks considerably younger than the Attorney General—went to went to Holder’s polling place for the recent primary in Washington, D.C., and claimed to be Holder. The punch line, of course, is that he was given no trouble, and welcomed to vote. (He never went through with it and actually committed the voter fraud, presumably because someone’s giving them legal advice not to.)

Well, no. Shapiro and O’Keefe and the rest don’t know when voter fraud takes place, if indeed it does, because they don’t do the work necessary to find out. O’Keefe may be lionized as an investigative journalist, but he’s not one, and he never has been. He takes the easy, flashy way out: his videos don’t prove that malfeasance is happening; they prove that it could, maybe. (Taking the same trick and repeating it over and over again, which is basically what O’Keefe did with this latest video, part of a series of such work, doesn’t help.)
Investigative journalism—the real thing, the kind that discovers the dirt people are actually doing, rather than that they could potentially do—is hard work, and it can be boring. You want to expose systematic voter fraud? Get a bunch of records, pore through them for a few hundred hours.

Media Matters for America also calls out O'Keefe's deception tactics calls out O'Keefe's deception tactics:
James O'Keefe's Project Veritas has unveiled the latest chapter in its ongoing "voter fraud investigation": a video that purports to show a young man nearly obtaining the ballot of Attorney General Eric Holder. Like O'Keefe's past "voter fraud" videos, however, this video fails to show actual voter fraud being committed, and it doesn't prove the existence of a widespread conspiracy to throw an election. That's because both are extremely rare. 

The video shows the man entering a polling place in Washington, D.C., then cuts to the man asking a poll worker, "Do you have an Eric Holder?" After the O'Keefe associate confirms Holder's address, which is censored, the poll worker offers him the voter roll and says, "Please sign your name there." The fake Eric Holder then says he left his ID in the car and leaves. 
This video doesn't prove any of these things. What it shows is a man coming close to committing a serious crime. But even if the man had fraudulently cast a vote under Eric Holder's name, D.C. and federal laws provide a number of protections against fraudulent votes. 
First of all, if the imposter had fraudulently cast Holder's ballot, and the real Eric Holder then had shown up to vote and been told his name was already crossed off the list, the real Holder almost certainly could have still voted. Under the Help America Vote Act of 2002, any voter who is told by an "election official" that he or she is "not eligible to vote" must be allowed to "cast a provisional ballot." 
In spite of all this evidence, however, right-wing media routinely drum up phony or baseless cases of voter fraud, which they then use to rally support for restrictive voter ID laws.

Dana Loesch continues to embarass herself

CNN Contributor, dishonest hack, and leader of the Breitbart/Loesch Axis of Evil Dana Loesch has told a bunch of lies on the UMSL/UMKC issue, along with countless others.

Today on her radio show, Loesch was telling numerous dishonest lies.

CNN's Dana Loesch is trying to pretend away the deceptive editing practices at the center of the Andrew Breitbart campaign to "go after the teachers."

Yesterday, officials at the University of Missouri-St. Louis concluded that the videos Breitbart's site Big Government used to smear two of the university's labor studies lecturers were "highly distorted through splicing and editing."

James O'Keefe, an unethical man and a history of distortions, was on The Dana Show today to talk about the heavily edited tapes, of which he defended.

In 2009, O'Keefe stopped by Washington University in St. Louis to film the school administration's efforts to shut down a mock gulag erected on campus by the right-wing group Young Americans for Liberty. A couple of months later, Christofanelli penned a column in the campus newspaper defending "our gulag event."

Poorly write a too-long, not-smart-enough-to-be-snarky racist piece on the “white brain.”

Because your business is worried that it might not get enough traffic on its own, hire a PR/social media firm to send out emails like the one below baiting bloggers into giving an otherwise undeserving piece written for shock’s sake (you remember what I said about shock as art) some attention.

The article is a frosh attempt to characterize the entire conservative movement as being solely Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, and a few other white people. Thrasher insists that it’s an all-white movement.

While Thrasher projects, he ignores:

- The Kenneth Gladney beating

- The NAACP presser wherein Gladney was ridiculed and called slurs in public

- White liberal/progressive/socialists mocking and name-calling black Republicans, on tape, at the 8/28 event in DC

- Bill Clinton’s remark on Obama: “A few years ago, this guy would have been getting us coffee.”

- Harry Reid: Obama — a “light-skinned” African American “with no Negro dialect, unless he wanted to have one.”

- Obama: Blacks are a ‘Mongrel’ People

- The revered former KKK grand cyclops/dragon/something Democrat Robert Byrd a few years before his death:

This piece is indeed proof that Loesch, like Jim Hoft, from Gateway Pundit, is indeed a race-baiter.

Dana, NOT all Unions are "thugs," but a few bad apples in the unions don't make the rest of them "thugs." This is crap I'd expect from the Fixed Noise's Saturday "Business" Shows, which are nothing more than the I Hate Unions and Liberals Hour. Shopping at Union-friendly stores makes more an American.

Tea Party's John Burns Involved In James O'Keefe's Plot to "Seduce" CNN Correspondent



John Burns of American Majority and the St. Louis tea party was implicated in a story about disgraced conservative hitman James O'Keefe's ploy to "embarrass a CNN correspondent by recording a meeting on hidden cameras aboard a floating palace of pleasure' and making sexually suggestive comments, e-mails and a planning document show," according to CNN. Burns is best known in St. Louis for leading the tea party's failed efforts to block funding for public transportation, for ridiculously accusing Washington University of "fraud" in the aftermath of a hoax conducted by him and O'Keefe, and, worst of all, for writing "free abortions" on the back of a sign in an attempt to sabotage pro-gay marriage rally.


As expected, Loesch blamed it on the "Liberal Media."

Last night on Anderson Cooper 360, Roland Martin owned Liaresch's butt.


Fittingly, Dana "Comments Off" Loesch has been named Riverfront Times's Best Of St. Louis' Lightning Rod:
