Dana Loesch endorses Missouri's discriminatory ballot measure #SJR39


Yet another anti-LGBTQ religious exemptions bill in the news, and it's Missouri's SJR39, and of course, a certain conservative yakker who hosts a show on TheBlaze on the TV side and on KFTK/Radio America for the radio side is going out of her way to defend this bigoted bill.

SJR 39, introduced by State Sen. Bob Onder (R-St. Charles), would ask voters to prohibit the state from imposing a penalty on a religious organization or individual who acts in accordance with a sincere religious belief concerning same-sex marriage, which includes the refusal to perform a same-sex marriage ceremony or allow a same-sex wedding ceremony to be performed on the religious organization's property. The bill further says the state shall not impose a penalty on an individual who declines either to be a participant in a marriage or wedding ceremony or to provide goods or services of expressional or artistic creation for such a marriage or ceremony or an ensuing celebration thereof, because of a sincere religious belief concerning marriage between two persons of the same sex.

Pro-GOP mouthpiece Dana Loesch baselessly accuses Robin Carnahan and Eric Holder of neglecting Joplin Tornado victims b/c the area voted Republican

Pro-Kinder mouthpiece Dana Loesch and the rest of the right-wing lie machine are seizing on this falsehood that "Obama, Carnahan, Koster, Holder, and Nixon are ignoring 10,000+ voters in tornado-ravaged and heavily Republican Joplin."  The fact-free imbecile Loesch used multiple falsehoods on this story, including the smear that she was linked to the now-defunct ACORN and blamed this on Holder and Obama.

Eric Holder accused Florida lawmakers of disenfranchisment when the state took to cleaning up ineligible voters (due to death or felony) from its voter rolls. That same DOJ has been silent about a story brewing out of southern Missouri; after suffering through one of the worst tornados in history, Joplin residents will now face losing their vote. 
Asking Robin Carnahan for assistance when she's already refused to clean up Missouri voter rolls seems fruitless, but it can't hurt. Carnahan has in the past been linked to ACORN, and the state has fought voter fraud for years. It seems only logical to question whether or not the Secretary of State and DOJ's reluctance to intervene is because the 10,000 Joplin tornado victims are heavily Republican. 
President Obama and Eric Holder often talk of how the government can help, and they preach against the evils of disenfranchising voters. So where are they?

The actual facts, NOT the GOP-biased spin on 10,000+ voter registration cards returned in Jasper County, Missouri (via the Joplin Globe):

JOPLIN, Mo. — Registration cards for more than 10 percent of Jasper County’s approximately 80,000  voters have been returned by the post office, County Clerk Bonnie Earl said Monday.
New cards, which must be sent to voters each two years, were mailed out earlier in July. But about 10,000 cards have been sent back because the addresses on them were no longer valid. That’s going to pose a problem for voters — and election officials — at the Aug. 7 primary election, said the clerk.
Election officials say many of the cards being returned were sent to residents in Joplin and Duquesne who moved after their homes were damaged or destroyed in the May 22, 2011, tornado but have not yet changed their address with election officials.
Voters can make address changes at offices of the county clerk in the Carthage courthouse and on the second floor of the county courts building at 6th Street and Pearl Avenue in Joplin. Offices are open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. during the week, and will be open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday.

I am anticipating that the scandal will continue to grow over the next few days with all of those who are attacking the president, the attorney general, the governor, the secretary of state, and other Democratic officials overlooking a few facts. 
1.    The chief election official in Jasper County, County Clerk Bonnie Earl, is a Republican. And I don’t say that to cast any blame on her. If she were needing help, she would have asked. Sending out the voter ID cards gave her the first indication of what the situation is in Joplin and Jasper County. Some might ask why that step has not already been taken since numerous elections have occurred between May 22, 2011, and now. 
2.    The Joplin Globe article that first revealed the problem did not have any mention of people not being allowed to vote. It said that those who do not have the new voter ID cards will probably face some problems. In other words, it is likely it will take longer for them to vote or they may have to cast provisional ballots. 
3.    It would not do the Democratic Party any good for those voters to be disenfranchised this Tuesday. It is a primary election so it will not have any effect whatsoever on the race between President Obama and Gov. Mitt Romney. Election officials now have three months to fix the problem and certainly have incentive to do so, especially since those election officials are Republican in a state where close races are expected for some statewide offices and for a U. S. Senate seat. 
4.    Don’t think there are any Jasper County Democratic officials who will stand in the way. County Republican primary winners are guaranteed election because no Democrats are running. Nor are there any Democratic officeholders.
All of these things were conveniently overlooked as statewide Republican officials and so far, one national right-wing rabble-rouser (with more undoubtedly to come) sought to capitalize one more time on the Joplin Tornado.

Adam Shriver confronts Andrew Breitbart AND Dana Loesch: Shriver wins

This weekend, St. Louis Activist Hub's Adam Shriver confronts Dana Loesch and Andrew Breitbart. You know who won? The good guy, not the goons who work for Breitfart. Remember the last time Shriver confronted Loesch, and she lost badly.

The ethically challenged Andrew Breitbart was making shit up as usual:

Breitbart claims that Kenneth Gladney was called the n-word by Elston McCowan. At best this claim is disputed and I would argue the evidence against it is stronger than the evidence for it. At the trial, which I attended unlike anyone from the tea party, the three defense witnesses all were consistent in saying that what Elston McCowan, a black Baptist Minister, said was the word "negro" rather than The N-word. On the other hand, out of the three witnesses from the prosecution, one said that McCowan used the bizarre expression "son of an n-word," one said he used the expression "n-word" but didn't hear anything about a "son of a..", and Kenneth Gladney, after two years of saying that only Elston McCowan used the n-word, all-of-a-sudden changed his story to now claim that both McCowan and co-defendent Perry Molens called him the n-word. The inconsistencies between the prosecution's witnesses and the fact that Gladney changed his story no doubt counted strongly against the prosecution's case, as the jury took only 40 minutes to reach a "non-guilty" verdict for the SEIU defendants.
Breitbart repeated his absurd conspiracy theory that the White House sent a signal for "union thugs" to beat up innocent tea partiers at the town halls. He implicated the deputy White House Chief of Staff, the head of the AFL-CIO John Sweeney, and the SEIU in his grand conspiracy. Though the claim is clearly absurd that there was some massive government conspiracy coming from the White House to beat up a random guy selling buttons at a townhall, Breitbart actually showed remarkable constraint, at least considering that his sites and the tea party have collectively implicated all of the following groups and entities in their conspiracy theories about that night:

Breitbart claims that only Carnahan supporters were allowed in the townhall. This is not true. In fact, Dana Loesch and many tea partiers were in the townhall, as she admits. The claim is based on the fact that in addition to the main entrance there was a side door where some but not all people were being allowed in. My guess is that the door was being used to allow people in who had volunteered to help, but I honestly don't know the exact circumstances. Regardless, it doesn't have much relevance for the question of who started the altercation between McCowan and Gladney.

Breitbart's argument that UMSL should post the full 31 hours of video is a red herring. UMSL is prohibited by law from releasing the personal information of students, and for good reason. Academic freedom is, in part, based on the idea that students should be allowed to explore academic ideas in a classroom without fear of retribution or persecution. Breitbart's decision to post video of the students' comments on a public website is despicable. As for his suggestion that UMSL publish a transcript of the entire class with student names blocked out, I suspect that the reason they're not doing that is the same reason that he won't do it: it would be an absurdly time-intensive project.

His Lieutenant Smearer-In-Chief Dana Loesch went right to her incoherent talking points:
  • At the beginning of the video Loesch asks "Does Washington University know that it's employee is here using its resources to smear private citizens?" It's true that I'm a graduate student at Washington University, but why Loesch thinks that I'm "using university resources" by engaging in a non-academic discussion on a Saturday afternoon in the summer is beyond me. Seems a little anti-free speech, doesn't it?
  • Loesch claims, and has been claiming for a year, that I'm an "SEIU blogger." I've never been paid anything by SEIU and have no idea why anyone would call me that. Loesch claims that someone referred to me as an "SEIU blogger" on a video, and suggests that someone from SEIU made that claim at an NAACP press conference. I'm skeptical that anyone from SEIU said that since I don't think anyone from the group was even at the press conference she mentioned, but whomever said it would be wrong.
  • Loesch also claims that I "laughed" at the same NAACP press conference when someone called Gladney an "Uncle Tom." It's true that I was at the event, but I'm sure I didn't laugh. I remember feeling uncomfortable with the comments. Another manufactured smear.
  • Finally, Loesch disgustingly claimed that I was "stalking her children," another tea party conspiracy theory I've heard before. I previously had no idea what the claim was referring to, but Loesch explained that it was in reference to the fact that, "you clicked the website where my children are on." In other words, despite the fact that I have never, ever, said anything about her children in any context nor do I know anything about them or want to, she's claiming that I "stalk her children" because one time I linked to a post on her Mom Blog that she had referenced from her political Twitter account. That's pretty despicable behavior from a CNN analyst, or from anyone for that matter.


    • Is this woman batshit crazy or what?! She used to have a blog about her family, called Mamalogues, which she quit posting there earlier this year. She just HATES having someone informed call her out on her inane bullshit.



    Jim Hoft's Gateway Pundit calls Shriver a "leftist troll" and refers him as "Allen Shriver."
    Andrew Breitbart spoke at the MoveOnUp.org Conference for black conservatives in St. Louis this past weekend. (It was a great success, by the way.) During a break Andrew was ambushed by a local far left troll Allen Shriver from the St. Louis Activist Hub. Shriver has a reputation for being a complete loon – his long, rambling, Media Matters a$$-kissing post on the ambush confirms this.


    Nope, it's Adam Shriver, thank you very much. And it's Hoft that's the complete loon, not Shriver.

    My comment on GatewayPundit's joke of a site:
    That blogger from the St. Louis Activist Hub’s name is ADAM Shriver, and NOT ALLEN Shriver. Hoft, Loesch, and Breitfart are lying morons, and Shriver’s telling the truth as usual.

    I bet it will be deleted or reported eventually.

    KTVI covered the Move-On-Up story, but did it cover Shriver? Nope.

    African Americans who share conservative views on society and politics gathered in St. Louis this weekend to talk about building a grassroots organization. It was the first national convention for Move-On-Up.Org, a group that began as an electronic social network connecting blacks who felt big government was heading in the wrong direction.

    The meeting drew people from six or seven states as well as Missouri politicians including Republican Lt. Governor Peter Kinder.

    Nationally known conservatives Andrew Breitbart, known for his blog Big Government and Star Parker, a syndicated columnist, author and network TV commentator were among the speakers. Parker runs a think tank which promotes market based pubic policy to fight poverty.

    The first African American chairman of the St. Charles County Republican Party, Eugene Dokes credited Move-On-Up with encouraging his interest in politics and challenging him to improve his education.
    Kinder avoided talking to reporters who were waiting for him outside the dinner event at the Crowne Plaza Hotel at the Airport. He slipped in and out of a kitchen entrance.
    Missouri Lt. Governor Peter Kinder (R) snuck out of the conference to avoid scrutiny about his sordid details.



    Kudos to Adam Shriver for going into enemy territory to call out these morons.

    Big Journalism's EIC Loesch: "Those Riverfront Times hacks are smearing Kinder"

    Today, The Riverfront Times' internet news division Daily RFT's Sarah Fenske wrote about Missouri Lt. Governor Peter Kinder (R), who is expected to challenge incumbent Governor Jay Nixon (D) for the Governorship in Jefferson City come 2012, was caught carousing with a porn actress. I bet this benefits Nixon come November 2012.

    Yesterday, we showed you a picture of Missouri Lt. Governor Peter Kinder, grinning broadly at a bar with an unidentified blond.

    A bartender at Verlin's, which recently moved from Soulard to Vandeventer, in the Grove district, confirmed to RFT that Kinder is a fan of the establishment. "People might catch him here," she said. "I'm not saying he's here every day..."

    And the sexy blond with whom Kinder is posing, Daily RFT can confirm, was a Penthouse "pet of the month" in the early 90s. She was a bartender at Verlin's at the time the photo was taken.

    Kinder, a Republican, is widely believed to be planning a run for governor. The never-married Cape Girardeau native is a favorite of the Tea Party.
    Imagine what the reaction on the right (especially the Christianist nuthousers) would be if Peter Kinder (who is single, and not yet married) was a Democratic Lt. Governor. They would be demonizing him as a "drunken, socialist, communist pervert and porno addict" instead of having "he's just having a good time."

    Of course, that brought out Teahadist and serial distortion artist from Big "Journalism's" Editor-In-Chief Dana Loesch to defend Kinder from "those evil fun-hating liberals."

    I had to have a little chuckle over St. Louis’s alterna-weekly today after receiving a link to their recent article on Missouri’s Lt. Governor Peter Kinder. The headline? “Peter Kinder: Every Night’s a Pantless Party.”

    Hold up – you’re telling me that Missouri’s single male Lt. Governor has been to a bar where drinks are made by panty’d servers?

    Oh my, I may not vote for him once, I may go all ACORN and vote for him twice.

    And who cares if he did? Last I checked, it was a free country. Kinder is single, no crotch shots were sent while his spouse was away. Kinder didn’t deny visiting the bar afterwards by claiming that I or Andrew Breitbart hacked his social media account, thus Photoshopping him at the bar. No heather-gray manties were involved in this story, he didn’t dress up as Tigger and make unwanted advances towards underage girls.
    When did the RFT become such a prude? Is this supposed to be a smear?

    I’m sure we’ll soon see those replaced by ads for modesty swimsuits and arranged marriage brokers now, considering the RFT’s new stance.

    Sorry, Dana, the last time I checked, people like you, "Dr." Gina Loudon, Phyllis Schlafly, and their ilk are the ones that are the prudes, and not the Riverfront Times. And the Times will still have the same ads for strip clubs and phone sex lines, plus it runs Dan Savage's column.

    If a Democratic politician behaved in that manner, then Loesch would be having a hissy fit and saying this person's an "immoral and loose sexual deviant." Yet more pathetic excuses to defend a Republican at all costs.

    And, Ms. Dana The Devil, You cannot vote for Kinder twice in a single election, unless you mean the GOP primary and the the General Election. Remember the "one man/woman, one vote" principle, anyone? It's 'one man/woman, one vote," and not "one man/woman, 2 or more votes!"

    Loesch and her cronies at "Smart Girl" Summit 2011

    The massively misinformed Dana Loesch spoke at the "Smart Girl" Summit (which might as well be called the Misinformed Conservative Women Summit) which was held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Downtown St. Louis, Missouri. Here is a look at what she and her cronies said at the event:

    Loesch, a GOP shill who pretends to be an independent conservative, said "We criticize the GOP because we care."


    Loesch spoke to PJTV's Alexis Garcia on her take of the Teahadist movement. As expected, she blamed the Democrats for the economy being bad.


    Herman Cain falsely states that "invoking the 14th Amendment is an abuse of the Constitution."


    Missouri's Lt. Governor Peter Kinder (R) was whining about the "Federal Government being 'despots' over the states."



    Andrew Breitbart blamed the "liberal media" for having a bias, with no regard for facts. In fact, Fixed Noise and right-wing media is more biased than the So-Called Liberal Media.






    Of course, there was union-bashing going on, as Scott Walker crony, aka Wisconsin's Lt. Governor Rebecca Kleefisch (R) defended Walker's insane actions:



    Phyllis Schlafly, St. Louis's Original Nutjob, said: "Obama Raising the Debt Ceiling On His Own is Unconstitutional." If Bush (or any other GOP President) did it, then Schlafly would be praising it.



    The SGS Straw Poll results, the 1st ever women's Presidential straw poll, gave the absolutely insane Michele Bachmann a victory but Herman Cain was a closer-than-expected 2nd. Rick Perry and Sarah Palin were NOT on the ballot.

    Billing it as the first ever women’s presidential straw poll, nearly 300 conservative women activists cast their ballots in Louisville this weekend at the third annual Smart Girl Summit to give their favorite presidential candidates a boost.

    Michele Bachmann came in first—no shock there—but it wasn’t the complete blowout many expected from an audience of conservative women. Entrepreneur and inspirational speaker Herman Cain finished a close second, underscoring that the women are looking for conservative grassroots leadership regardless of gender.

    This is the season for straw polls, and it’s always fun to measure the candidates against one another. But it’s unclear how much they mean in a primary contest that doesn’t get underway for another six months, and when two potentially major candidates, former Alaska governor Sarah Palin and Texas Gov. Rick Perry, were left off the ballot, since they were at the summit.


    Many of the women were undecided and agonized over their choice, with some wanting to write in Palin or Perry, but the voting was limited to declared candidates.

    Still, let's all keeping pretending that Kinder hasn't actually decided on a campaign, even though he's stated openly in Missouri and in Washington, DC that he's running. Because if we stop writing about whether or not he's running, we might have to write about all the things he's actually doing and saying. And that's not going to be very pleasant for Peter, now is it?

    It's also nice that Kinder made himself available to the dishonest and pathetic Loesch exactly one business day after she railed against Speaker Steve Tilley's associations with the New Black Panther Party.



    Also, one year ago yesterday, The Dana Show moved into its current timeslot, 2-4PM CST Monday-Friday, moving The Sean Hannity Show to 7-9PM. Since her move to that slot, she has amped up the crazy-- big-time.

    The STL Teabagger noise machine, led by Jim Hoft, Dana Loesch, Sharp Elbows, etc..., ere falsely claiming that Chris Powers, the person who was behind the firebombing, was a "Democrat Operative."

    Of course, when the “firebombing” was reported local leftists blamed the tea party activists.


    Dem operative and firebomber Chris Powers is the sweaty one pictured here on right during a rally for nationalized health care. Powers is was a paid canvasser for Russ Carnahan.

    Powers is a man on the edge, who has suffered a lot of personal trauma in the recent past. Powers, a radical leftist, is accused of a pretty serious crime in what could only be considered a desperate cry for help.

    *UPDATE: Carnahan “Firebombing” an Inside Job?

    Did the Carnahan camp know this possible truth and consent by silence to the media’s attempt to trump this up as a tea party incident? If this is true, doesn’t this make the fourth incident in which people associated with the Carnahan campaign have run afoul of the law and have engaged in illegal behavior? Why didn’t the Russ Carnahan campaign correct the narrative of the local alternative weekly and Jake Wagman’s subtle suggestion that it was a tea partier? Because he’s in the campaign of his life and is desperate for anything, even the sympathy vote?

    The alternative weekly’s (RFT) heinously irresponsible “blogger” – who once admitted, in print, his inability to vet his posts because he lacked the skills to write ten posts a day and be accurate – and the daily’s Jake Wagman need to issue retractions and clarifications, respectively, and the Russ Carnahan campaign needs to issue an apology for allowing this charade to be pinned on the very people whom he seeks to represent.

    Kinder Inexplicably Tries To Score Political Points On Apparent Arson

    Peter Kinder saw St. Louis Tea Party bloggers getting excited about who might be behind the apparent arsonat Russ Carnahan's campaign office, and decided that the most responsible course of action would be for him to join in. As far as I know, charges have not been filed by the local prosecutor's office, but Kinder didn't let that stop him from signing his initials -- and #FiredPelosi hashtag -- to "Guy Who FireBombed Carnahan Office Is A DEMOCRAT OPERATIVE!"

    Tea Partiers Claiming That "Democratic Operative" Bombed Carnahan's Office

    Jim Hoft, Dana Loesch, and others are claiming, based on Jim Hoft's "insider information," that the person arrested for trying to set fire to Russ Carnahan's office was a liberal blogger with ties to the Democratic Party. They are also falsely claiming that local reporters "blamed" the tea party for the initial attack, and are hilariously demanding retractions and apologies. Amazingly, Loesch is also claiming that the Carnahan campaign needs to apologize for having their office firebombed. Here are the relevant bits:


    So, a little context. First of all, no credible media outlet has reported the information about who the suspect is: only Jim Hoft. Hoft also claimed last week that he had "inside information" that it was a burglary, which was false. Second, even if Hoft's information is true, the information was really only about a suspect. Recall that the person who was originally picked up by police was released because of a lack of evidence that he did anything. In other words, as far as any responsible agency or entity knows, there is no credible evidence who did it yet.

    Loesch and Hoft hilariously claim that Jake Wagman and Chad Garrison should apologize for accusing the tea party of setting of the firebomb. Unfortunately for them, neither Wagman nor Garrison did anything of the sort. Unlike the St. Louis tea party, they did not actually accuse people of committing a crime before the evidence was in. Here's what Garrison said:
    Perhaps, he joined his fellow "patriots" earlier this year when they burned Carnahan's photo in effigy or placed a coffin on the sidewalk outside his home. On second thought, maybe he's not a Tea Party member. Firebombing your opponent's office seems a little too, um, sane for that group.
